The scarab 2 gen 3 has been the most unreliable otf I’ve ever had. I’ve had Microtech’s for around 15 years, never had one of their otf’s fail as often as this one. Shame.

This version can now be configured for lefties too. The lock and clip can be swapped over to the other side.

Never use safety switches on knives. They delay opening and are useless.

Very sick, all of them, and those might fire harder than my new Halo VI I've had for a while sitting in my safe. I just want to clear up one thing. The blade never ever came off this so-called "track." All that happens is it does not reach the locking bar inside the handle whether it be S/A or D/A.

I believe "double action" refers to knives that have a manual opening mechanism and an auto mechanism, such as the Lightfoot. This is an OTF knife witha non-manual retraction mechanism... as compared to the Halo. Thanks

So i jus bought a hera 2 microtech last week and its great but sometimes but not all the time i can have the button pushed all the way up to where its supposed to fire and theres like a delay b4 it fires sometimes it doesn't do it everytime jus sometimes what could be causing this?

A thing that I do is carry something like a Fenix tactical flashlight clipped into my back pocket. You can absolutely use it as an improvised impact tool if necessary (in the very same way you would use a closed folder), along with it being a source of light--and you can take it places you can't carry a blade, like courthouses and onto airplanes. Blades are things I treat like firearms, as primarily a lethal force tool. Having other options on hand is a good thing. Hope this helps.
