what if im do both? i run 1 50 amp into breaker box but also run the 30 amp directly to central ac?
@JavierRivera14 сағат бұрын
I am not sure I understand your question... The generator only will generates 50AMPS no matter is you connect to both outlet, 50 not 80amps.
@fredflintstone-bedrock13 сағат бұрын
@@JavierRivera im talking about bonded or floating neutral since gen. will be connected to breaker box with the 50 amp and to an appliance with 30 amp and maybe more with the 15/20 amp 110 plugs
@JavierRivera13 сағат бұрын
@@fredflintstone-bedrock OK I see now, in that case you can still connect those appliances directly to the Gen. because by being connected to the breaker box with the 50A connector the generator will be already bonded. BUT if you are not connected to the breaker panel with the 50a connector and you will like to connect appliances directly to the Gen. You will need a bonded plug somewhere (50a connector for example is you will be using the 30a and 120v outlets)
@fredflintstone-bedrock12 сағат бұрын
@@JavierRivera what about just cutting off the ground on the plug of the 50 amp gen. cord or remove ground wire from 50 amp plug. and let the generator bonded for the rest of the outlets

Hello Javier: Just a note to thank you for the guidance to get my Z3100 AutoDetect converter to identify my new SOK lithium batteries. The WFCO company took care of the issue of the converter not identifying my lithium batteries by giving me a new converter that was hard wired to lithium mode. I’m now able to charge my batteries to ~14.2V and I’m sure they will charge up to 14.6 V once I start using shore power and additional solar panels. Of course the most important aspect of having the converter identify the lithium batteries is so that the charging profiles match the needs of these batteries to increase their life span. Thanks again & you are great resource for all things RV. Enjoy your new Brinkley Z3100. Joe

great video! I just received my Genmax 10500 and ran it for 1 hour with 10W-30 full synthetic. I honestly didn't even know that conventional still existed. Should I drain the oil and change to conventional 10w-30?

10500. Men I wish I had waited for that one. No you should be fine. However; I read in the manual that came with the generator; Is not at the online pdf; that the recommended oil is 10w30. IF running the generator in Extreme Temperatures see the following chart for recommended oil type. And in the chart says from below 5°F to above 120°F to use 5W-30 full synthetic oil. Check your 10500 manual that came with the generator because I just checked the online pdf and the chart is not there either.

Thank you for your video. I use my generator for the sole purpose of providing power in emergency situations. We just went 5 days without power and my 7 year old champion started up every time with the press of a button. It ran flawlessly and was a real help providing power for my portable air conditioner in 95 degree heat. Bottom line, reliability is the name of the game. Also that machine looks tricky to work on and in an emergency, who has time to wait for China to help trouble shoot and then wait for parts. Based on your videos this is not the type of machine that I would trust in an emergency situation.

Using that "bonding" plug is a good idea BUT... if that plug gets lost or someone forgets to use it, the generator may not be safe for stand-alone usage. A clearly marked switch to bond/unbond would be much safer.

As you recall the converter was NOT Auto-detecting my lithium batteries and switching over to lithium charging profile which is very important for lithium battery charging. Question? Trailer Aid ramps are the worse thing to use on a loaded RV anyways. It has potential to bend the axle by supporting all of that sides weight on 1 axle. Trailer Aids are for light or unloaded cargo trailers or horse trailers. Not heavy rvs, especially 5th wheels.

What does the blue tooth component do on the soft start?
Ok Javier. My WFCO converter light is still not changing from green to blue (lithium recognition color) so I will send it to WFCO to have it “hard wired” to lithium as you did. I am suspecting that Lippert-Brinkley & WFCO did not install the converter in a location that is allowing the so called “Auto-Detect” components of the converter to switch to lithium after a standard “draw down” test which I have performed several times in my 2024 Z-3100 Brinkley. On another subject: Do you plan on connecting your generator to the Brinkley’s quick disconnect LP outlet when boon-docking or do you have a separate LP tank (with short hose) that connects to your generator? As always thanks for helping me get this new 5th wheel ready to roll 👍👍
@JavierRivera2 ай бұрын
@@joemarin7918 only a few have been lucky enough to get it to switch to lithium mode. Even that my generator is dual fuel I have been using gas. If I start to use LP I will get an additional tank.
