There is no such thing as an Acadian SS. They had an SD but not an SS. So to try and sell an ,although rare car, altered version of what it was at 90k sticker. Add in the very old exhaust system on it. This could very well be a bottom level trim package that had been cloned up. Even from the Nova perspective those are the wrong SS badges. I have a 72 Nova for reference. Add in paint defects showing the car had been repainted as well. Nice ride but you are about 40k too high for this acadian SD clone.

That rattle you're hearing is most likely an not an exhaust hanger rattle. The 968 Tiptronic is known for transmission damper failure. Tiptronics use rubber and metal damper mounted between the transmission and torque tube. With age, the rubber dries out and begins to crack, resulting in that VERY distinctive rattle. When (not if) the rubber fails, the torque tube or transmission, or both, WILL be damaged. It needs to be replaced NOW. Unfortunately, it's a fairly labor intesive and time consuming job and a very expensive part, $1500+ for the damper and another $800-$1500 for labor, depending on the shop location and skill. Don't try to save a few bucks by buying a used/salvage damper - it will be in the same or (usually) worse condition than the one you're replacing! I own a '93 968 Tip Cab with 38,000 miles and replaced the damper 18 months ago. It was making the identical rattle before I replaced it. BTW, neither the hood nor the interior lamp should be dangling. The interior lamp is a standard VW/AUDI/PORSCHE part and is readily available and inexpensive.The under hood lamp is also availible but is a bit more difficult to find. I suggest that it be removed and the wiring harness connectors insulated and affixed under the hood. You definitely don't want that lamp falling into the belts or the electric fan, or shorting out! Looking forward to the revised video!
