My 25 yr old factory converter is doing everything except charging the battery. I think I can just add a battery charger.... but.... -So, this unit will replace my current converter? I could remove my current converter and wire this in? -So, things that run on 120v such as the air condition and refrigerator would need their own circuit with breakers (as they do now) and would be separate from this converter? -Any other advice?
@RecProUSA
@RecProUSA 6 күн бұрын
Hi, we cant say whether our unit will replace your unit and if you can just remove his old one and wire ours in. This is due to us not knowing how your unit is wired and what your old unit is. For the wiring it would all depend on how the unit is wired already. This question would be best for a local election that can see and test the wires.

@@RecProUSA There is a circuit breaker in the back of my unit that is bad. I jumped it through a 20 amp fuse and everything came to life.

This inovative unit is revolutionary to the RV industry. In 2018, I purchase a 2014 Keystone 299ret TT for full-time living. The RV dealer felt the Coleman Mach 15 was not cooling properly. He installed a brand new 15k Mach-15 ducted unit. It is now 6 years old and still performs as new. It's a little loud but on a super hot California summer day, it does what it is supposed to do so, it's not a bad trade off. When it finally does die, I will install the RecPro 15k ducted heat-pump model. Looking forward to a quieter experience.

What are the 4 fuses for? Called tech support and they couldn't even tell me. Nothing in the manual, and nothing written on the charger case. @1:36 you claim the 12v power flows back into the converter. This is false!!
@RecProUSA
@RecProUSA 6 күн бұрын
Hello, the fuses prevent damage to wiring and components during scenarios in which too much current is going up stream. Overcurrent can cause wires to burn/melt/smoke, in which case the fuse is designed to break and interrupt the flow of current.

How do you clean soiled RV pleated window paper shades made of paper I think. OEM shades
@RecProUSA

Use a feather duster, lint roller, or soft brush to remove dust and debris. You can also vacuum with a brush attachment, but be careful not to tug on the shades.

Soooo, when will a handicap accessible awning cover be made? There's no medically safe way for me to take this off by myself at camp. And rather a tall request to ask a neighbor for help on. How about a hinged cover attached to the roof and able to easily click onto and off the support struts? I want royalties.

I heard that butyl shouldn't be left exposed to sun after installing. With Maxxair Fan install, is that part of why the sealant/leveling sealant goes over the tape? So many of the videos used butyl as a matter of fact but recently I've heard some pushback. Some videos also showed being able to "rub" the tape off (with elbow grease) of the old fan in order to apply the new. Now I'm wondering if the old tape was putty tape instead?
@RecProUSA
@RecProUSA Ай бұрын
Our butyl tape is heat and sunlight resistant, as it is made to withstand all sorts of conditions. Regarding the tape removal, it likely was butyl tape, as it has a putty-like consistency.

is it flexible? For example, could I have you cut to fit my roof which has a slight arch?
@RecProUSA
@RecProUSA 2 ай бұрын
It is flexible to a point. If your roof has a very slight arch, it should be pliable enough to work. It would not bend enough to work well with sharp corners or deep curves, though.
