If u point the loaded blow gun down to the ground will the dart fall out or does it stay in?
@huntnfishnuts5880Ай бұрын
It will slide out if you pass a certain point of angle toward the ground. There is a restrictor on the mouthpiece that will not allow the dart come out the back of the blowgun so you can lightly inhale with the dart in the tube to hold it in place for a steep angle then blow full force when you want to shoot.

You recommend changing the spark plugs about every three years or so. Like you say, it depends on how much you use your boat. So, how many “hours” would you put on that 60hp Mercury before changing the plugs? I only put about 4 or 5 hours a year on mine, which is why I would be looking at total hours instead of years.
@huntnfishnuts5880Ай бұрын
You can put a lot of hours on those plugs, especially running at low load. At that amount of hours a year I would not worry about changing your plugs for a long while, I would just check one for gap. If your gap is increasing or the plug tip is rounding off then change them out.

Thanks Skip, I’ve never tried one before and thought it was a good opportunity, i read about it in Hawbakers fur trapping years ago, I also seen Stew from coon creek set one up last season on a small line he had, I’m betting every grinner in that woods will get caught in it.

@huntnfishnuts58805 ай бұрын
Just built it from scratch, I made it from scrap pieces of steel I had laying around, I used a trailer jack for the lift but you could use an electric linear actuator if you feel like wiring one in. There are other food plot videos on my video list that show the tractor in use, I was pleased it done what I needed it to and just broke the surface of the ground to get the seed good soil contact. When I use it I just disconnect it from the lift and drag it to cut and level the ground I’m going to seed.

Hey Paul that's a nice looking raccoon. I wasn't aware of using body grip traps In a box outside a waterway. I'm going to need to get them dimensions from you so I can make a few up I plan on coming in December to trap bobcat and fisher
@huntnfishnuts58806 ай бұрын
There’s a lot of rules for the cubby box Chip, it has to be placed within a water course that’s why I had it set by the creek within the area the creek can rise, the biggest trap I could use in the box was a 160, even then with a 50 square inch entrance you have to tilt the trap to put it in the box, if you check my video list a few seasons back I done a video on making this box. The trap has to be recessed way back in the box 7 inches in it also has to be anchored so if cannot get rolled over. For fisher you can use the box to hold a bait and then just use a foothold outside it too. It worked well with the 160 though.
@HuntingFarmerOfficial6 ай бұрын
The coon learned his lesson on dog-proofs, but the cubby was too much for him to resist 😁

Thanks Dan and Judith, there’s a lot of rules for me to use a bodygrip on land above the size of a 110 so I was pleased I was able to make it work, loved the DP scar on the foot that was just a bonus. The fur on a January. Coon is very different to the fur on an October coon.

that key does not actually hold the flywheel in the correct position. It's just a mounting aid. The flywheel is wedged into place with that bolt.

wau. I had also broken flywheel key in my Yamaha 450 grizzly. But it can affect valve timing? I don't understand now. doesn't the position of the flywheel only affect ignition timing?

I’ve got into that habit too Chip, il always try to guard dirt holes of flat sets with a DP on either side. This was a set just for coon, but you will see in a later videos had a fox and a cat pass this log and scent mark the end of this log.
