I’d like to see a comparison along the driveway and sidewalk. Putting this stuff in the middle and even partly shaded part and leaving the sidewalk and driveway that gets smoked all day with nothing isn’t a fair comparison and doesn’t give a fair idea of what this product can or can’t do.

Wouldnt Andersons HumiChar do the same and more by helping to retain water and help for heat resistance plus add soil benefit. How is this product better?
@NExtDIYLawn
@NExtDIYLawn 13 күн бұрын
Hydr8 has the added soil benefits by being a compost with added polymers for water retention. Andersons Humichar and Hydr8 are two different products. Hydr8 is for reduction of water usage, strong water retention, combatting drought. Humichar is designed as a soil amendment, similar to our Humic12. Not apples to apples. I hope that helps, and thanks for watching.

Why no answer, to the question regarding the difference between Hydrotain and Hyra8, it's sad that this question is not being addressed. I then begin to question the claims on the product label…if they will leave it up to the consumer then maybe I will buy from the company with the highest honesty and product efficacy…consumer please be aware.

Jon Perry address it in his video. As far as I can tell they are different types of polymers. Hydr8 absorbs moisture from rain or irrigation and holds it similar to the gel that’s in a diaper. Hydotain is extremely hygroscopic is pulls moisture out of the air and holds it on the soil. Think of it like a cap on the soil, the hydr8 holds the moisture in place. Both work, im using both liquids on my hot spots.
@NExtDIYLawn
@NExtDIYLawn 14 күн бұрын
I apologize. There is no dodging of your question. It's in the polymers and how it grabs onto moisture.
@NExtDIYLawn
@NExtDIYLawn 14 күн бұрын
Here is a more detailed answer. Hydr8 is a "block polymer" that you'll read below. Hydretain is a humectant which draws / attracts moisture from the atmosphere or from grass that has a dew event. Humectants are not very good increasing infiltration or soil penetration. - the water movement aspects which is just as important as reduction of soil water repellency. Hydretain actually needs more water at time of application to help with water movement as example would be Hyrdretain would be applied at 6 oz per 1,000 in a 2 gallon spray solution and the turf manager would have to apply more irrigation to get Hydretain into soil profile in most cases Hydretain would need 5 to 10 minutes of irrigation water . A block polymer attaches to soil particles and holds water molecules for a period if time - the time line depends on the rate and type of polymer or co-polymer used - Block polymer's moves very easily down thru soil profiles because of non-ionic attachment to soil particles. - thus you get the needed infiltration and penetration in all types of soils. While preventing water repellency if the treatment is applied before onset of LDS . block polymer has excellent tank mixing - Hydretain has limited tank mixing block polymer is very safe even in high temperatures - Hydretain does see tip burn in higher temperatures block polymer has longer longevity as compared to humectant's

Yeah it is very lazy. You can do next to nothing. We aerate our greens twice a year because all the studies, information and experts say it is just for fun. Pre-emergents were something u must see no use for applying. I never comment about a guy that is just ignorant and lacking smarts, but you are intentionally misleading people, and you know it. Idiots spewing dumb shiot, u guys are everywhere, but you start out saying nothing, keep acting like peter pan, then finish by saying nothing. Use a better yard man, your design, turf, grading, thats not the lot of a genius who solved aerating lying,pawning off some carbon to people you are hoping trust you. Your 4 reasons liquid is better weren't even reasons. You just said nonsense. Aeration and overseeding should be 2 different things. You shouldn't drop seeed in 4 to 3.5 inch holes, so Aeration with my business puts thousands of plugs in the soil at the multiple root zones, and we insert an amazingly designed fert packed full of good bacteria and fungi that are in a frozen state of animation until hit by water. Immediately, all come to life and all root zones get a massive load of these living , breathing soil creaters, and just as importantly micros and NPK are placed at all these same levels. So we've created, through Aeration, the perfect balance of Organics/carbons and the big 3 non organic materials, these must be in balance to be, as close to the other as possible, to get the most out of your soil. That means all levels should be balanced, deep root zones, mid zones and rhiz's and the surfaces. How can u possibly get this balance without pulling deep plugs and mid level plugs? You don't want more than 12% of the turf to be plugged. For example, rock hard clay based soil taken care of by you will have dry spots and wet spots. Drainage is what defines your soil and turf quality is defined by soil is where it all starts. Pouring some carbon on top of dirt is going to do very little to create a living breathing soil. In the Southeast, North GA, itll most likely sit on top, same as fert, same as organics, any bio life application will die if you think liquid carbons and some soap put on the surface will make it an inch through even the thatch you have no ide, I mean what happens to the grass seed that doesn't go in the holes? What the F does that have to do with anything. Again, its 2 separate jobs. 5% even, plugging deeply and at mid root zones is a perfect entry point to start getting some life giving elements down into the root zone to create the very best top soil possible. It also removes plenty of thatch allowing sunlight and water to get the microbes to start doing their job breaking down theorganics and macros and micros. He forgets thatch, will probably pitch some more carbon to take care of it. You're taking advantage of people to have them buy a bottle of some soil conditioner that will never do what mechanical aeration does. I hope ive shown it with some simplicity. It isnt tough to grasp if you don't have snake oil being marketed like crazy by many dirty dudes that want something for nothing, know little about the really amazing things happening in the turf industry. You leach off old men, guys still wanting to get some work in their yard that they've cared for and used to put in hours having the best turf on the block, our dad's that think men are still honest men, the mom who is taking care of her late husband's turf he loved so much, yet treatment guys snd KZfaq folks keep taking from her, the young kid with his first yard, excited thinking he is learning something and it takes no hard work. I hope someone else calls you out and points out that making money off good people just wanting a better yard, enjoy the work, maybe the only exercise a grandpa can get, but he loves it, wants it so nice. was almost there but guys like this , and many other industries, believe they are famous, getting real attention, most had very little, this guy definitely h a d little from women, but they make up garbage, video themselves, think they are a tv star because KZfaq is the same and the people that have no ideas about this they let them shape nothing. It is, nothing, a blip, snake oil from a guy that clearly has no talent, brings nothing to his video of himself, taken by himself, to pitch complete bs. Liquid Aeration is better than mechanical because .. lol list those reasons again!!! Please. Learn the industry, u can do well without videoing yourself pitching a catchy topic that all professionals know is false. And, the season in the video, it shows a dumpy lot, not a profession landscaper has set foot on that yard or planned out anything doing on, nothing is actually goung on, just a mid rate lot , no landscaping, no proof the turf ever looked great , leave it out next time. Develop a real product. I cant be the only person who found this sad and irritating someone pushes something by providing misleading nothing, but they know the topic is one of interest to a certain segment with money. Where am i wrong in my assessment? Anyone else agree,
