This was absolutely such a blessing for me this morning! I'm just reintroducing ashtanga yoga into my lifestyle and your voice and your direction style is so healing. I'm a former gymnast and athlete recovering from long term illness and it feels so good to feel my body responding to this movement and asanas in a positive way. Thank you so very much for sharing and I really look forward to integrating your videos/teaching/guidance into my daily healing routine. I hope to also connect on a deeper level into an ashtanga community to support my health and wellness practice/engage in future training retreats Sincerely grateful for any recommended resources and/or a chance to talk with you, Kari eve love, Wisconsin

amazing video thanks alot ! watch the knees regardless of forcing them in. if you have had injuries to the legs or alot of miles on them some time there is play between the diffrent joint segment so you must feel the the hip is truely initiating or else the knee will suffer. fuck around and find out, i haha

This is all good and well but I think it would have been more helpful to teach beginners the correct stretching exercises to open the hips.

Could anyone recommend a follow up Ashtanga Yoga video? I have done this for a few months now and now don't need all the extended explanations. I still need to use blocks and straps and do modified poses. Most of the other videos I've found don't allow time to use these. Thanks!

this is a great introduction to ashtanga yoga, have been doing hatha yoga for almost 5 years and was very interested in Ashtanga. I have my yoga blocks but never used them, and I loved how challenging some of the asanas were, and I had chance to use my yoga blocks. Take your strength realistically and don't be afraid to use your yoga blocks. They will help you with this.
