I’ll try to help you with that, but can’t guarantee 🤷♂️ actually it depends what kind of camera or smartphone do you use. Of course if I will be there I can help you, but I’m really far away:( But look! @@Theshredacademy smartphone +lavaliere mic can do the job, believe me. But there will be a little bit more work when editing:) but almost all software (like Finall cut pro or Adobe premiere) can synchronize video according to the sound. Nothing special at all! Other option something like Rode wireless Go (I’m still using first generation) or DJI, or even cheaper Chinese one. But once again! Try out any wireless EarPods or wired version with your phone first! Than synchronize. 😎

A question that I suspect you already planning to cover: if you want to add a whip or a table when doing a boosted jump, when do you initiate the bar turn? Are you doing it as soon as you leave the lip while you’re still pulling yourself forward on the bars, or are you waiting until you’re back over the top of the bike at the apex of the arc?
@Theshredacademy9 сағат бұрын
@@woody2505 thanks for the suggestion on the list!!! But short answer is the whip is always going to initiate on the lip. The table, that’s a little easier to learn boosting. Essential your letting the bike come higher by tabling on the accent of the arc.

Your video titles are like you opened up my head and took out all the questions I’ve had for a decade! I think this format of revisiting subject areas you’ve already covered in earlier videos, but digging into them from a different angle is great. It leads to new nuggets of gold each time and really reinforces the learning. The point you’ve been making about needing to get the whole motion done inside the wheelbase of the bike has been a recent one that has really helped me visualise what I’m trying to do better and answered a question I had in my mind forever about whether you preload earlier or explode faster for faster jumps.

Thats a serious boost on that last jump!! Working on my boosting lately, whats gettimg me is fear of the overshoot. Im going too fast and need to slow down and just land on top of the tables until I get more comfortable with the legit boost technique.
@Theshredacademy9 сағат бұрын
@@in_10z it’s a close call to speed up do account for the speed loss in deeper suspension preloading or to slow down to not over shoot. It’s a fun line that you come to learn over time. Cheers for the moment

How does your weight shift front/back during the turn? I find that there is a transition from centre/front to centre/back as the turn progresses. Jeff Kendal-Weed says he actually pulls up on the bars as he exits the corner, transferring pressure to the back tire. Seems to me that this is more pronounced the steeper the descent on the turn.
@Theshredacademy2 күн бұрын
@@user-he6tq3dh4y weight shifting is for when you have something to push into. Newer bikes are built for you to be centered over the bike so weighting g the front isn’t really needed UNLESS your changing quick directions then there is some weight shifting but if wanted to talk about that this video would have been 3hrs long

I'm glad to hear you mention about Moto-Gp. I can definitely ride a motorcycle! If I'm on a motorcycle the throttle gets me out of a lot of trouble not only in turns but jumps. On a MT bike it's completely different. What you're saying is what I struggle with because of moto-muscle-memory. After many OTBs I switched my brakes to moto, right/front, left/ rear. I've been struggling with high speed turns and trusting the side knobs. I've only been able to pull it off a few times. When you rail a turn on the side knobs it's pretty crazy! I still have a habit of kicking out my inside leg, but it works. I'm trying to break all my moto instinct. Looking forward to the next vid!

I'm looking forward to the next series of suspension setup. You just touched on something I'm trying to wrap my head around. You mentioned TRAIL input and RIDER input. How does that correlate to settings? I get in the weeds on which direction to turn the dials. For example, if I want more high-speed compression, does more always mean +? Meaning if I want the shock to soak up big square hits, do I turn to + or to -? If I want the fork to not compress/dive when hitting the front brake going slow down steep rocky tech which way do I turn the compression? If I close it, do I turn it to the + or -? For big jumps to flat and I want to take the harshness out do I click + or -? We're always sitting at the trail head talking about this until we all are more confused about it than before we started. So where I'm going with this can you do 1 video on each suspension setting, and not group a bunch of settings in 1 video to not blow our minds?
