Great band and legendary in their own right, but this interview felt like you're interviewing the local drunks in Kallio.

To quote the festival: “The two concerts will have completely different setlists, spanning from the early days - featuring songs that haven't been performed live for many, many years - up until present day.” (Maybe 4 songs between both sets that could be considered rarities that have not been performed in “many many years”?) “The band has a tremendous history and is an artist that has always pushed the boundaries of the genre, never doing anything by halves. Rest assured - they won't do that this time either.” “The concerts will also include guest musicians who have made a mark on Satyricon's illustrious history.” I’m not sure they delivered on their promise to sell tickets to “2 unique concerts” - they did their standard set the 2nd night. The 1st night they played another standard set, with only 1 song each from the 1st 2 albums, and a clear focus on their commercial songs throughout the 2 nights. And only 1 song from Rebel Extravaganza; this seems more like a bait and switch and was not a career retrospective as much as it was an ode to the commercial hits along the years and a spatter of rarities with no special guests beyond Satyr’s wife and other people not well known within the scene. I will just say it, no Nocturno Culto and they actually played Phoenix which a garbage song without Sivert Høyem. I have seen the band at Inferno’s 2008, 2013 and 2018 and I am glad I did not travel from the USA like some of my disappointed friends from here have done.

Great band. Specially Into Eternity and Bitterness. The comeback albums are fine too. Only one I did not like is the death n roll release Swallow the Snake. I think the title says it all haha

Rauta, great to see you improving at a fast pace. I don't usually comment and I'm afraid I'm gonna state the obvious, but I think your work is great , your guests are top level and you're authentic.

Satyricon night 2 was the biggest disappointment of the festival, sad to say. It was supposed to be a special set, instead they just delivered the same songs they always play. And no, I don't care about the Munch jam they did.

biggest mistake of Keep of kalessins career was beeing assosiated /labeled as a Black metal band because they are NOT. They are great extreme metal band but just because they are from Norway do not make them BM. Musically they have more in common with Thrash/death metal and lyrical themes more power metal than Black Metal
