If I recall correctly, it was NH3 + I2 -> NI3 which in dry form is a contact explosive (hence bursts on rubbing when dry). On decomposition, it releases I2 vapours (deep violet coloured). Keep up the curiosity! I hope it helps!

Hi Shaziya, If you belong to the general category, try getting rank under 250. For different categories the cutoff will vary. Also, the score-rank relationship depends on the exam difficulty level. But following previous trends, if you score around 670 or more, you will have a higher chance of being selected. Regarding KVPY, sadly yes.

Hi, There were 3 streams to enter IISc UG program (i.e. after class 12th). Most significant was KVPY (which won't exist anymore). Others being JEE (Advanced) and NEET which constituted negligible proportion of students enrolled here. But, if you are under 10k rank in either of these exams, you can try applying. All the best! 🙂
