@theseshwithsav384 The Christies has been renovated 3 times since I left in 2011. I could tell you some stories from back then 😃 - hopefully it has improved a lot since. I have heard from others also that it is much nicer since the latest upgrade. Ahh, gotta love youtube - I see that even though my above message was a reply to your reply, it put it as a brand new comment 😅

Thanks for this guys. As a fellow Adelaidian I really appreciated it 😊 That story about the Aldinga vegan place was hilarious 😂 My best spooky story was when I worked at The Christies Beach Hotel. I used to be the last one to leave the kitchen at the end of shift and I always had a feeling someone was behind me and watching me when I was alone. Happened every night, but never actually saw anyone, just felt a presence. I spoke to someone who had worked there for a long time, apparently someone had been murdered there in the motel quite violently, and had often been noticed by people who stayed there. At least I knew I wasn't crazy 😮 From then on I would just let them know they had nothing to worry about and I would be leaving soon. I think they understood and never bothered me much after 😊 I have been to that cemetery in Kapunda, only through the daytime - I am not brave enough to go at night!!! Any tourists, please don't be afraid to visit SA, it is a lovely place to visit I swear. Just a little haunted 😅

And he say something interesting as well about cla;ing the land that whites should not say that because they are not aboriginal like if aboriginal did something to make this land interesting in the past ??? What a shame for white people to have this dude

Build a relationship with your artist. If you want a 12 hour tattoo, can’t sit for 12, or 5, get tattooed 2 hours, get your lines, go back 2 for shading, 2 hours for your color. Build a relationship and ALWAYS ask your artist about the cream, they say no, they say no.

There is no weight if best guys aren’t competing. Money talks and that’s fact. You can now be the best amateur doing adcc or The best pro trying ringer paid. Now if this is a one off I. Some ways it gives more profile to adcc but if cji builds you will see adcc fade away. I’ve been around since beginning of adcc and watching the greats win and most are fucking broke. We should be on board with the platform that pays the elite. Not be nostalgic for the cunts that don’t.

I was 19 when the riots happened and lived most my life on the Northern Beaches.... I have since moved into the Canterbury Bankstown catchment area and can confirm Lebs can be really sharp and pompous. In all honesty I do not feel unsafe here as I mind my own business and I am big enough to handle my self and I am a strong believer in a persons right to defend themselves with extreme violence hard and fast. But there was all this shit from the Skaf gang rapes to constant bad press around Lebs and middle easterners on the constant. Be it poor business dealings from uncles who are builders or shonky work and sales blah blah... I have made a few friends in the older school Lebanese and there are some great ones. But the rural families who settled here from Lebanon have some serious deep rooted issues. Of course a few generations down the line the system will unkink most of the community.

I appreciate that man, 108 episodes in and still learning! I just got new cameras 2-3 episodes ago as a huge upgrade to the podcast and just figuring the lighting out I definitely get what you mean! Thankyou heaps for the feedback!
@jeremyevantaylor1724
@jeremyevantaylor1724 15 күн бұрын
@@theseshwithsav384 Since you're open to feedback, it isn't just the lighting, it's the relative screen location according to their eyelines. Normally, the person looking to screen right will be slightly screen left and the person looking screen left will be slightly screen right, so we get the feeling that they are looking at each other. So Sav, more screen left, Adam Jones, more screen right. In some of the shots, Sav is even further to screen right than Adam. Breaking that rule works in films/tv shows to create certain desired effects, but for a podcast, it makes it feels disjointed Great discussion, though! Keep on keepin' on!

I fucking knew it was looking slightly off thankyou so much mate. If you look at the episodes I did previously I believe I did this and it looked more natural but I have been playing with the distance and placement of the cameras. I was using handycams before so now that I’m dealing with different mm lenses etc is just a huge learning process. That makes it so much easier for me, I can’t thank you enough! If you have any other quality of life criticisms I’d love all your feedback. Wanna really level it up! Hope it wasn’t too jarring for you to watch

If possible can you look at the episode I did with Michael crafter and see if that’s slightly better?
@jeremyevantaylor1724
@jeremyevantaylor1724 10 күн бұрын
@@theseshwithsav384 First off, thank you for responding and for receiving what I said in the spirit that I said it. I definitely wasn't trying to be a snarky know-it-all. I'm only commenting about the Michael Crafter episode because you asked, but if you're talking about episode 106, it suffers from a similar issue. I think your compositions would also benefit from bringing your eyes vertically in frame closer to the top line of thirds. So tilting down on you a little bit to bring your head a little higher in frame, and titling up a little bit on Micheal Crafter so that his head comes down a little in frame. You don't have to fake that you're the exact same height or anything, but splitting the difference would help things feel more balanced and intentional. I know on shows like Mr. Robot, they intentionally break these rules, but they do it for unconventional storytelling purposes. Also, you typically want the people to have some feeling of separation from the background. Since yours is mostly black, I'd recommend either not wearing black and/or making sure you have a little bit of a hair/kicker light coming from the opposite side of your keylight. If you look at Michael Crafter's shot and do the squint test, his shirt kind of blends in with the background and the same goes for your black hat when you wear it. That's not as big of a deal and I know you don't want to micromanage what your guests wear so they can feel comfortable. An other way to help separate them from the background is to use variable nd filters so that you can use a larger aperture on your lenses so the background is more out of focus. I've owned Tiffen, Hoya, Freewell and messed around with Polar Pros. To me, the best bang for your buck is definitely Freewell. Tiffens have really gone downhill with their color cast and Polar Pros are overpriced because of their connection to an overrated influencer. The main thing to keep in mind is you have a cool personality, you care about the subjects at hand, your guests are interesting, and you're able to get a good conversation going. So you have your most important bases covered. Remember, if Joe Rogan's early podcasts had 4 less pixels, they would have been mp3s. Cheers!
