This does nothing, as the holes are already in the turf. The more holes on the turf base the better for seeping through. The better, This is just an unnecessary layer. Telling you this as 20 yrs in landscape.

You could make the other argument that watering, mowing and fertilizing grass is also harmful to the environment. With turf you don’t waste water, burn energy or poison streams with maintenance.

It's about filtration, grano is best for slow filtration,.water is slowly filtered through grano, to mot1 under neath, it thin slowly release to soil. There saying now that you don't need sand on top of latest grass, you do. This also helps with slow filtration. If water goes through that fast it will back up to surface , slow filtration is best, as he said 10 minutes later and water had gone through grano dust, . Mot 1 and Grano dust filters water better creating a Kind of French drain system. 🤷‍♂️

Hi.. The micro perforated backing helps reduce infill loss compare to standard hole punch grasses.
