Good afternoon Brittany & Big K

My chickens are under cover not to direct sun. They like to dig holes in the coop yard and lay in the holes. Fresh water is available and I feed 3 smaller meals, one on the morning, mid day and just before the go in to sleep. When I'm around I let them roam around the back yard usually in the late afternoon. The last feeding is to get them back into the coop yard before sleep.

My girls are staying happy and kool !!! Thanks for all the great info ..

One thing about Flannel Hill, it’s so obvious that you love your animals. I have a question… Do you see the movement of the feeder being a problem? How do you deal with the moisture in the feed?. I live in Virginia and our humidity can be an issue. (Many here still throw feed…lol… I’m gathering info for my future feathered Babes) Thank you for all that you do. I don’t live far from Ideal poultry! We’ve ordered from them for years. We normally got them a day after their shipping date. Last years we had problems with the chicks from 2 or 3 days and we had a problem with death and the chicks coming in looking sick. We finally stopped and bought chicks just from my local feed stores. We decided to give them one for shot and see how it goes🤷‍♂️

Yay! Asparagus! So cool! We completely redid our garden up front and have ground cover down and added five new raised beds! I won't have a garden without ground cover ever again! I hope y'all get a lot of fruit within the next year or so!
