I have a 2018 XC60 D4 momentum. It only has 35k on the clock. I use it for going to and from the shop (2 miles) as well as driving the length of the country and back (1000 miles) and everything in between. The fuel economy gauge has not been reset since it was new. It shows 41.8mpg. Not bad for a big, comfortable, quiet, civilised, reliable SUV. I tend to change my cars every two years but I think I might stay with this one forever.

Are these 1.6 gdi engines reliable after 150.000km? Which model years are to be avoided?

On my 20 mile commute (each way) I get anywhere from 52 to 68mpg (UK) from my 2023 Picanto 1 1.0. It's always better on the way into work due to a few miles of gentle downhill. It's better in summer than winter obviously. Headwinds can have quite a big effect. I reckon that over the 10 months I've owned this car it's hitting the official 58.9mpg figure quoted by the manufacturer. The car costs pocket money to run.

I just bought a vauxhall insignia 2011 2.0 diesel I've noticed it's only given me 30 miles on a £10er diesel .. frigging guttted also the engine management lite has come up on dashboard... my old car 1.9 diesel ford focus on a £10er it wud give me easily 80 miles, can anyone advice me What the problem is ??

I know this is an old vid. But! I have a Honda civic 1.8 petrol manual.I do a lot and I mean a lot of motorway driving. The Civic rarely drops below 45 mpg even in the winter. In the Summer,no air con,well only minimal if it’s really hot. No lights,no wipers. It will do 50 mpg. I was thinking of changing to a Qashqai. But no. I will stick with Honda.

I fall in love in golf 8, all design and etc. but after so many comments from many people I will give up probably. So many issues with software. So shame.
