1959? Never could understand why in the US the year of a motorbike is given after the engine, and not the frame. Panheads were built by HD till the mid 1960s, rigid hard tail frames only until 1957, and the wishbone only until 1955.

Simple solution: don't start the engine. With kick starter, hard tail, no front brake but messed up frame geometry, more rake without reducing the trail, it is more a bike to look at than to ride.

Peter Fonda is actually the one who came up with this concept. It was his Idea and is essentially responsible for the most famous Motorcycle ever built. Cliff Vaughs and Ben Hardy built this Bike. Can’t think of another one as famous.

Important fact, both those Easy Rider Choppers were designed and built by a Black builder. His name was Sugar Bear. Look it up. The racial climate in 1969 suppressed that info. Awesome machines!!

@@stevereed8786 Vaughs arranged the build, Hardy assembled the parts that were made by others. Painting by Dean Lanza, frame rake and wheels by Jim Buchanan, seats by Larry Hooper. And the original bikes had been made in Milwaukee and not in Harlem, if you know what I mean.
