In my opinion, the best 12-strings are the Guild F-412 (made in RI), Gibson J-185-12 and the Ovation custom series. Never warmed to the Martins; and Taylor's felt like furniture.

Any list of best 12 string guitars without a Guild in the list is compiled by someone who has no idea about 12 strings. But hey, what do I know?? I've only been playing 12 strings since I was 14 - and that was 59 years ago!! I have a Guild D212 made in Westerly in 1982 with K+K transducers in it, and would guarantee it blows everything on this list into the weeds for both quality and quantity of sound, acoustically or plugged in! But it's not even my favorite 12 string - that's a Maton FG150/12 made in 1971 that I've had for 51 years, and Tommy Emmanuel recently said has an absolutely beautiful sound! As for new 12 strings that sound incredible, try a Maton Messiah if you can find one - the AP5 pickup system in them is regarded as THE best!

Musicman, caparison, mayones, strandberg, abasi master Series. Probably my Buck for the best you Can get off the top of my head. But then again unless you have a lot,of money to drop then the small ,again above 2000$ youre paying for aestetics, craftmanship and your own happiness most of all.

Not even close. While Martin ukulele strings are considered “OK,” in the realm of fluorocarbons they are considered kind of a bit light, and there are so many better options, such as Worth, Uke Logic, Living Water, Pepe Romero, PHD. Aquila strings are pretty much the “factory stock” strings for low to mid priced instruments - and the generally recognized first thing to do for these is “replace the Aquila strings” with fluorocarbons, . . . and Aquila “reds” often have a playing time measured in minutes before breaking. I suppose Aquilas have their place for being long lasting, and they have their “sound,” but almost no serious player would ever put them as “top” strings.

I own one. The neck is very good. The pickup is adequate. Acoustically, it lacks more than a little low end. I have other guitars; one is very much "superior" but I can't get along with that one somehow. This Epi is basic, no tuner, changing the battery is a pain, don't even like the colour, but I like it and can't really say why.

All nice 12 string guitars, but seriously guys, you omitted Guild's F512? Brian May (Queen), Roger Hodgson (Supertramp), SRV, Tom Petty, & John Denver surely played them for a reason. Yes they are at the top of the price bracket but these are go-to instruments for performers. I've got both the F512 and F50 and wouldn't trade them for any of these (as nice as they sound).

Thank you so much. Great demo. I have a cherry coupe. I love it, it's being set up in a repair shop at the moment.I was told it was probably because the neck was too straight.I bought it second-hand for about, £150 mint.I was shocked to find, that they were going for around, £500 to £600 now. Perhaps; because they have stopped making them?.If anything happened to it, I'd buy another. The Beatles were said to love and played Casinos, because like you said, don't have to be plugged in and are great for practice. I have the Riviera custom too. Nice, but so heavy. I wasn't expecting that. Keep up the good work, I'm impressed.

BAD LIST OF GUITARS. The only guitar I can approve is the Yamaha FSX820. Here is my List: 1. Any Yamaha FS model 2. Cort Gold A6/ A8 or Cort Core series or Cort Grand Regal 3. Eastman PCH series 4. Enya Q1 series or T10 series If you are a "Made in America" fckboi fanatic, then you can waste your money to some random Taylors or Martins. Honestly, those guitars are too overated and sht to be in my top 3.

Pickups are by Shadow. Shadow E Performer pre amp and Shadow Nanoflex undersaddle pickup. Controls are on the bass side, upper bout of the body and not on the soundhole. Pickups not by Fishman. The cons of this review are the wrong info provided. Please research your info before you post it.

@@markharwood7573 oh yeah? So you are not aware of current specs? Cross reference the release date if the video for the current specs. We are talking about current at the time of the video. I mean who is stupid enough to look at a video released in say 2008 for an instrument made a decade earlier? Specs change. And at the time of the video's release it has Shaddow pre and undersaddles. You better have better info and resesrch before you post. And oh...there has been more than 2 versions of this guitar.
