Shirley Bassey has always been in a class of her own. I think she has attended more Royal Variety Performance venues than any member of the Royal family😊Long live Dame Shirley.

1995年8月22日｡僕は実際にこのステージを観る機会に恵まれ､今でも本場のショービジネスの女王はライザ以外にはいないと確信しています｡ コンサートのエンディング曲『Cabaret』のイントロが鳴り始めた瞬間､客席はオール･スタンディング･オベーション｡そして拍手に包まれる中､真っ赤なドレスに身を包んだ小柄な女性のどこから､あんなにパワフルな歌声が出てくるのかと､ただただ驚嘆するばかりでした｡

I had the pleasure of meeting RG in Memphis, TN, New York City, Las Vegas. Spoke to him. Even kissed his cheek. Will always recall those "blue eyes". Was sad to learn of his passing.

Saw her last night in Minneapolis. She's 95 years old. The show was pure joy. A world-class interpreter of American Standards. Roaming about in the audience, high kicks, razzing the audience and taking herself with a heap of levity. Applying every musical invention to give the set beautiful ups and downs and surprises. I've seen Tony, Betty Carter, Joe Williams… Marilyn is THAT good.
