I like how people still come back hoping for a return of the legend. I loved Dark Souls already, but this guy made me fall IN LOVE with it, and I carried that love all the way to Promised Consort Radahn.

I learned a lot from this series when I was first starting out during my middle school years. I’m now in my last year in med school and still watch this from time to time just for the comfort it brings. Cheers.

I'm all for game not holding your hand, but dark souls one could have seriously been more detailed when it comes to parrying and the weight/fat rolling lol

Its funny I found out about this video series from some other youtuber , he said something like "vegeta311 demonstrates just how much is possible early game with his video series, everything possible before the gargoyles" and I went and binged them straight away and now from time to time I'll remember how chill these videos are and I'll just come back and watch them again and usually pick up something new each time. The funniest part is, I cant remember AT ALL who the original youtuber was that referenced this channel/vids, like not even a little bit

Still helping 11 years later. First playthrough and I was struggling with parrying and come to find out that the weapon size doesn't matter. I have to be close to the enemy to parry, not within their weapon length.

All of your lessons culminated in me beating promised consort radahn. Please come back
What level upgrade is your weapon? Or does that not matter in ds1 as it does in ds3 ?

You barely said a single word about the enemy animations or the player's tactics/mentality/rules guiding how to gauge and how to execute WHEN to parry. Therefore your guide is only a guide on "how the mechanic works, technically" and is not at all a guide on doing it successfully in gameplay. You didn't even have a single word about enemy startups versus delays and fake-outs.

Just joining in on the voices missing the days of this content. And considering rewatching some of the older videos. These were fundamental, in me falling in love with these games.

Dark souls 1 did parrying the best imo. I hate the delay they added to parries in later games.

Ive played and beaten ds1 more times than I can count with pretty much every type of build the game is designed to let you do. Thing is, on a new playthough i often find myself going through the motions with the same path. Very interesting to see how much sequence breaking you can do and got me itching to try another less straight forward run.

WTF KZfaq?! I finished this game twice last year but the algorithm finally decided to put this video in my feed. I seriously needed the Catacombs and Duke's Archives Skips. Better late then never I suppose. Thanks guy! ✌ Here's a sub.
