Oh man! Brings back memories for sure! My buddy ran a BBS and we all played VGAP on it and this one game he was destroying everyone by a lot and I figured out if I renamed my turn file to his and uploaded it, it would treat his turn like a corrupted turn and make him miss his turn. Brutal cheat and it took about 5 turns for him to figure it out and he called me out on it and rightfully booted me off his BBS. 😂

I tinkered with several BBS systems back in the day. It was funny when Telix DOS came out with the SALT scripting addition and the BBS out of the box was actually better than some of the BBS applications that were popular at the time. The fact that you could edit it (once you got into the SALT stuff) made it even better.

We used VPA (VGA Planets Assistant) client - and we have been all running FidoNET nodes/points with T-MAIL and exchanged our turns automatically
