I broke the plastic piece that holds the door cables. Thanks for your video I was able to super glue the plastic pieces together so it can hold the door cables. I don’t have to open my window to let myself out on the outer door handle anymore lmao

No problem. I will be uploading more videos on other cars I dismantle. Hopefully more people will learn to do there own work on their cars so they won’t have to take it to the dealer or they won’t have to brake their parts to figure out how something should be removed the right way

Directions are good but the technics and tools that are being use are not a very good option since it scratched the plastics on the door panel and other pieces

Light scratches won’t show on parts. As well as the back side of the parts. Since no one sees the backside of parts anyway. But I appreciate it

Thanks, this was all the info I needed to get the side pieces off and the correct way to remove the airbag plugs by lifting the yellow lock first.

What size screws are those with the washer? Just bought a used one and both screws holding the passenger door handle on were missing.

They are simple. You just need a small flathead screwdriver and you will see notches where to put it in and pry it slightly and it should pop

I can’t remove the blue clip also. When I reinstall the bag the horn does not stop going off

Did you remove the battery terminal. If not than the horn will sound til you pop the airbag and tighten the bolts on the airbag. After you do that the horn will stop. I’d recommend removing the battery terminals before you start the job

And how do you remove the steering wheel itself ? My leather is gone, I need a new wrap and I have to send the steering wheel alone to a company. Please help me.

Can the bottom spoke of the wheel can be removed / replaced without having to remove the airbag? I'm about to buy an XK in which I'd like to change that spoke, as the silver's gone on part of it, so I'd like to know if that operation would require popping the airbag out... And 2nd question: will that create issues in the electronics if the airbag is popped out and then back in when the car is off? Thanks for the answer!!

You’d have to remove the airbag to get to the bottom spoke of the wheel. Second is that before you remove the airbag remember to disconnect the battery cable and wait about 20-30 minutes before you start to remove the airbag so it doesn’t give you electrical issues
