For me, Qatar A350 is the best, then the 787-9.

I really love flying on Qatar A350 too! Unfortunately, the parking stands with jet bridge are still not enough for the whole traffic and most of the flights have to park at remote stands, even on the other side of the west runway with long bus journey to the terminal. The airport is currently under expansion to meet traffic increase, however I believe that the additional jet bridge stands will still not be enough.

Thanks for your comment. Actually, dinner was served 2h before landing, as we started to overfly the island of Sumatra. The pre-landing announcement was made 45 min before landing, when meal service was already finished.

Yes, it was PT-MUE. The aircraft that made tail strike while taking off was PT-MUG.

I feel so sorry to read that. I actually noticed that the cabin service was not top notch as I expected from a 5 star airline. Most of the cabin crew were behaving a bit robotic and as if they wanted to complete the service as quickly as possible. I was aware that CX had to cut several jobs due to the pandemic, but I didn't know that the company also cut wages and benefits. For sure, this condition does not make you work with a natural smile for sure. I hope that the situation will improve soon.

Hmm I have seen about 3 vlogs about Cathay in the last week. All very positive no complaints. Most recent was a fourteen hour between San Francisco and Hong Kong, economy class. I did notice during the pre flight announcement a " Happy New Year" was wished. Might have had some hung over or wishing with family crew.

Thanks for your comment! It was undoubtedly a pleasant flight, but I expected a little bit more from a 5 star ranked airline, compared to others at the same ranking. Regarding the air vents, also on my return flight operated by 777-300ER, I didn’t find them. I tried to clean the table but the stain didn’t go away.

The lack of space is the biggest problem, which doesn’t allow the airport to expand. T5 and T2 are the newest and well-designed terminals, however the connection between the terminals is still made with buses, which is not the most comfortable way to move.

I’ve never flown on BA on long-haul, so I cannot tell you, but probably I would prefer CX.

Before booking, check the aircraft you would fly on. The narrow seats are only on 787-8. The rest of their wide body fleet has wider seats.

In base alle rotazioni dell’aereo, capita di atterrare al T4S perché il volo successivo opera per Londra ad esempio, per cui dovrai prendere il trenino sotterraneo per trasferirti al T4. Guarda uno dei miei due video su Iberia A350, vedrai le riprese che ho fatto durante il transito tra T4 e T4S. È molto semplice e ben segnalato.

I feel so sorry to read about your bad experience with QR. Maybe you were just unlucky with that specific flight. Give them another chance and you probably change your opinion. I flew QR several times and I never had experience I can define as bad. Unfortunately their fleet is inconsistent and there are several differences among their aircraft, however I usually find their ground and cabin staff providing standard higher level service if compared to other airlines.
