I LOVE midi dresses. I never bothered with the Kibbe thing because I worked out silhouettes that work for me by trial and error--stuff like "all of my jeans must be flared and fitted from the knee up, and high rise", "my skirts need to come in at the knee in a godet/tulip shape, with a high rise, and A-line pencil skirts look AWFUL on me", "I look bad in a regular crew neck, v-necks and wrap tops are way better", but the midi skirt dresses are amaaaaaazing and were super game changing. 👌👌👌 I thoroughly enjoy your videos.

As a soft dramatic I have to say high waisted is absolutely not for me. It always looks puffy and a shirt tucked in gives me a very weird break in the torso area. It just looks too cropped.

my experience is exactly the same .. I'm quite annoyed when people are prooving that high waisted jeans is a great choice for every single person, just because it's in fashion.

Thanks for the comment. I tend to not like a fully tucked in shirt unless it’s fitted and show my curves/defines my waist. I sometimes like a larger shirt tucked in casually, asymmetrically in the front only. It gives a drapey effect. For me, high waisted feels accommodating to my curves, rather than squeezing at the fleshy part of my hips causing them to squish out around the waistline of the pants. Even better when it’s monochromatic to not give the color blocking visual.

You can have wider hips or narrower hips and still be a SD. Kibbe types aren't about your proportions in the traditional sense.

My go to SD tall girl trick is wearing wide leg pants and pointy toe flats. It appears like heels if the pants are wide enough! And adds no height to my 5’10 SD self!

Do you think that will work on thicker knit sweaters? I have a few heavy wool sweaters from Ireland, and as I was washing and prepping them for Spring/Summer storage, I noticed some pilling on the cuffs and neck.

The process was surprisingly gently so I do suspect it would work on heavy wool sweaters. I used scissors to trim a few longer threads too.
