I hope Veen gets a shot at the MLB sooner rather than later. I'd like to see what he can do for us in the majors.

What a pick off move J.P.had! And a right hander! Was at a game where he picked Ricky Henderson.

I consider myself so fortunate that I am old enough to have been able to watch Clemente play in person at both Forbes Field and Three Rivers Stadium. Between going to games with my Dad and my buddies, I generally got to see Roberto live about a dozen times a season. It was a very rare game when Clemente did not do something jaw-dropping. And Palmer is absolutely right about Clemente being a "bad ball" hitter. On more than one occasion, I've seen Clemente slap a pitch to right field on a pitch that was intended to be part of an intentional walk. I've also seen him drill balls into the gaps for extra bases on pitches so low that the end of his bat would stir up dust as he swung. And yet, Clemente was also not averse to taking two strikes if he didn't see the pitch he wanted. It had to drive pitchers crazy when they would get two called strikes on him, and then have him hit a double or triple on a pitch that they were trying to waste 3 or 4 inches off the plate, and maybe down by his ankles. Clemente was every bit the accomplished "bad ball" hitter as Yogi Berra. Barry Bonds may have been the best player ever to play in Pittsburgh, but Clemente, far and away, was the greatest.

Chris Young still helping the Royals out even after his pitching days with this trade. Ragans is on the short list for cy young. Chris young being a former pitcher shouldve seen the talent ragans has...

The 2024 Reds have been awful. Yes injuries. But the worst hitting Reds teams in 20 years. Dreadful. Horrible. If anyone thought Louisville success translates to Cincinnati success the Reds prospects are not living up to expectations. David Bell should be gone by Memorial Day.

Both Leiter and Langford have poor mechanics, Leiter does not drive to target and Langford has his hands too low.

16-28 through the first 44 games of the season. "Run the West down"? Bruh, you're in last place a quarter into the season 😬 "I don't know anything else but winning" Arte and the Angels will teach you what it means to lose and underachieve. Imagine having Shohei, Trout and Pujols over the last decade and they haven't won a postseason game since 2009. Have fun getting blamed and fired for the failure abf the organizations ineptitude ✌️

And Harvey Kuenn was the one and only Brewers Manager to win an all star game, and boy did he win it big. 1983, AL 13 NL 3. Capped off by the only grand slam in all star history by Fred Lynn.
