I tried going into nursing right out of high school and 2 years in I had to drop out due to family issues. I’m 27 now and thinking about going back but I’m also feeling like I’m too old to go back at this point 😅I know I’m not old but it just feels like I’m behind in life

I'm beginning nursing in September and I am 25. I thought the same thing about being too old but the way I look at it, it's better to just do it now in my 20s than to avoid it because I think I'm "too old", and then going back and doing it anyway in my 30s or 40s!

Hey! From Canada! Just wondering the difference between the accelerated and the 4 year BSN? We only have the 4 year BSN program where I am from. :)

From what I understand, it’s the same. The accelerated program is just the 4 years jam packed Into 2 years. (Literal hell)

The accelerated BSN is for those who already have a college degree, but want to pursue nursing. It’s mainly all your clinicals, and nursing classes since you already got the general courses out of the way. The 4 year track is the “normal” route.

Found you recently when I was reminiscing about my first semester and I absolutely love your personality and realness about nursing school. I am now in my last semester, applied to my dream hospital, accepted job in said hospital and will be graduating soon and taking my NCLEX. If there is anything nursing school has taught is that failure and perseverance is part of you learning and growing to become a great nurse. I failed pharmacology my first semester and felt so defeated, but thanks to my amazing family and friends I went back passed the second time around and kept looking forward. You can make it in the end and will become the nurse your are meant to be, as long as you keep pushing forward. Wishing everyone the best of luck on this crazy yet amazing journey that is nursing school <3
