WRONG! Seed oils are the number one health problem today. Ask Dr. Eric Berg of KZfaq (with 12.5 million subs) or....Dr. Mercola. First cold pressed EVO, high in polyphenols, is terrific and so are ultra-purified salmon or krill or cod liver oil capsules.

would Lauricidin/Monolaurin work the same as coconut oil. I've taken coconut oil in the past and it made me constipated and i think i was retaining water. why would that happen? Is there a specific type since there are several? I got the one most recommended years ago by Nutiva. I believe it was extra virgin coconut oil. I wanted to add I have SIBO/SIFO/CANDIDA from lack of gut motility. thanks!

Barbara...I have a high number of sldl. Another doctor told me to stick with animal fat ( butter, ghee, tallow) and stop coconut and olive oil. Do you agree?

He’s probably right. Stop alcohol and stop Ulta Processed foods, buy only single ingredient foods: eggs, poultry, meat that is grass fed not smoked or processed, vegetables, herbs, spices, fruit, nuts, seeds, extra-virgin olive oil, coffee, matcha, canned coconut milk, coconut oil and unsweetened chocolate. Go for walks and exercise. No sugar. Berries yes.

I start with 5 prunes and 1/8 c walnuts. They I have a bowl of oatmeal with 4 T of flaxseedmeal. I don't like fruit on my oatmeal. I am a whole food plant plant based vegan. I eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, beans, chickpeas, and lentils. No ultraprocessed food and very little processed food.

I have seen this many times on the keto carnivore websites from interviewed guests and in the comments of people that have had amazing experiences with depression and anxiety and every mental health issues you could imagine but no plant oils needed, Just eat meat 🥩?

Many of these oils are not recommended for people with low blood platelets Low blood platelets. Blood thinners especially.

Unfortunately several suggestion here are not based on any evidence. For example Flaxseed oil is rich in ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), a type of omega-3 fatty acid primarily found in plants. The body can convert ALA into DHA and EPA, but this conversion process is inefficient. Only a small percentage (typically less than 10%) of ALA gets converted into DHA and EPA, making flaxseed oil a less effective source of DHA. So a good brand of fish oil is much better than flaxseed oil. While DHA is sensitive to heat, light, and oxygen, high-quality fish oil supplements are carefully processed and packaged to minimize these risks. If you select reputable brands and store the oil properly, the DHA content should remain intact.

@jjl6752 Oh yes, they do! Don't be misled by all the nonsense on KZfaq. Fish oils have a much higher DHA content than flaxseed. I’m also against many modern medicines and supplements, but Barbara O'Neill crosses the line into misinformation.

The body can process and absorb calcium from tahini, chickpeas, and sesame seeds, but the efficiency varies due to certain factors. 1. **Sesame Seeds and Tahini**: Sesame seeds are a good source of calcium, and tahini (which is made from ground sesame seeds) also retains much of this calcium. However, sesame seeds contain oxalates and phytates, compounds that can bind calcium and reduce its absorption. Despite this, some calcium is still absorbed, especially when sesame seeds are toasted or soaked, which can reduce the levels of these inhibitors. 2. **Chickpeas**: Chickpeas contain some calcium, though less than sesame seeds. They also have phytates, which may reduce calcium absorption to some extent. However, cooking methods like soaking and boiling can lower phytate levels, making the calcium more available. In general, while calcium from plant sources may be less bioavailable due to these natural inhibitors, the body can still absorb a significant portion. To improve absorption, it's beneficial to consume these foods as part of a balanced diet that includes other sources of calcium and to use cooking methods that reduce the impact of absorption inhibitors.

Oh that's a big debate. Refined vs unrefined. Most say unrefined but that has a more coco-nutty flavor. So it depends on your use.

When the fat cells break down to create energy they do not RELEASE ketones. Ketones are made in the LIVER by using that fat to Make ketones.

Im using castor oil (and a fair few more) for severe long term damaged skin on my legs. 70 years in the Oz sun destroys skin, mine are like dust, Castor oil + rubbed into the legs certainly seems to work. They say its an anti inflam as well for my arthritic hip. Jury is in for legs and still out for hip.

Ask your dermatologist about repairing your skin with FLUOROURACIL. Mine had me do different sections of my body at a time. And now I just maintain my skin with retin-a (tretinoin)
