In my area theres a 6 lane road, 3 on each side, 45mph/ basically highway speed, and a small terrible sidewalk. Ill lane split to pass as well but usually on downhill portions where i can get close to car speed after they start moving. Or if the line of cars is short, ill wait at the back of the line. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these.
