How has this saw been since this video? Also how would you say this saw stacks up against another model like the 455 rancher?

I was brought up on Husky, but switched to Stihl when I had to put my own money into saws. I'm not sure exactly when it started to show, but our Stihl saws began seeming like they weren't producing enough power-to-weight, which is what brought me to Dolmar. We now have two Dolmars added to our Stihl stable and, quite frankly, they're less of a headache...and, yep, one gets more power-to-weight from the Dolmars. I only wish that I'd found the brand earlier in life and, quite honestly, I'd rather have the Dolmar 166 filmed in this video than a MS880 any time. Really nice straight-forward video in which the saw has the final say.

*Coming up on having had this saw for a year....am a casual user and bought it to cut up sections for bowl blanks. Easy to start, **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend even after storage for a couple of months. Simple chain tension adjustment. Just cut up some 20" Osage Orange, including ripping bolts in half (at an angle). Like butter!*

The Dolmar chain was not tightened.
