One of my arranging heroes for sure. Always great charts and obviously worked under stressful conditions in that part of the music biz. Thanks for posting this. And check out his chart for Ella Fitzgerald’s recording on “Lullabye of Broadway”. Typical Music by DeVol genius.

I used to watch him when he was young and made sense - about money. Nothing crazy. He cost Fox a ton $$ in the Dominion lawsuit. RIP, Lou - for the good old days, not MAGA.

So many slices of the 60s would be full on once in a lifetime bands today - there will never be an era like that again. Bigger than giants - gargantuan. Righteous Brothers were huge and everyone loved them for a few years there. The 70s comeback actually worked for a minute. Midnight Special just released their show on KZfaq - one of the best

Elvis did Hound Dog in 1956, although written by Lieber and Stoller, was first recorded/done by Big Mamma Thornton in 19, who was a rhythm and blues singer. so really that makes Elvis the first white man to do a rhythm and blues song, not the Righteous Brothers. Elvis also did R and B songs like Lawdy Miss Clawdy, etc.in the mid 1950's.

.... Aunt Jeanie smoked Pall Malls, the red unfiltered things. I was 11-ish and trying that stuff. We would drive from Alamogordo to Juarez to buy Oso Negro Vodka, it had a little black bear on a key chain. $2 a Gallon, as I recall, in 1960. Dad brought it home in the tens of gallons. And we bought cigarettes. For a Dime you could have a pack of Horse Shit cigarettes. (Pall Malls were 30cents) the cig pack had a horse, his head turned towards you with a teethy smile and horse pie coming out of his butt. Well, we smoked those things and the Pall Malls and I really didn't taste much difference. And I never smoked. Except for......

I was so impressed by their interview I went out and bought their book. I followed their advice how to enhance memory. I at that time in my 20s and I was abusing myself eating bad unhealthy foods my mind was foggy. I began a regimine of choline tablets ( followed their recommended dosage) b vitamins for choline to work for conversion and b-12. WOW the fog subsided. When my mind wasnt clear it was almost an embarassment and now have been told dont laugh but highly intelligent. I run my own company. Ive developed many systems which can be seen under craigslist new york financial. Supplement yout income-Trade the DJIA make $400 or more Daily! My name is Gary. To be honest I was really upset when Al Corley left because I really had a crush on him. So when Jack Coleman appeared on Dynasty I wasn't happy at all and I didn't really like it . Al Corley was the real and only Steven Carrington! For me he was! Even now in 2024 I still love Al Corley!

What's weird is they both appear today to look much older then their chronological age. I totally bought into this in the 1970's, but realize today most of it was BS, none of what they wrote about ever amounted to anything except a good sales gimmick for their "products". Nothing. There were a few interesting gems in there book, especially vasopressin. Vasopressin feels like it does nothing until you have an organum. The experience is out of this this galaxy in, the most pressure I have ever felt, it also made me a pinball wizard. I tried it when I was young, would not touch it today. What we know today? If you want to live longer, better, don't drink, smoke, do drugs, EXCERSICE, inherit good genes. In other words natural (no, not New Age BS natural, get your shots ) kicks ass. Every medication you take has issues, side effects you may or may not feel. I do everything I can to stay off medications. I'm 66 today, doctor wanted to put me on Tamsulosin (Flomax) to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The first long term medication I might need. I discovered I could take 1.25mg of Cialis and I could sleep through the night (that's HALF of the smallest dose available). Sometimes it's unavoidable, but when people start going a on a lot of medication its's usually a downward spiral. Especially when it comes to healthy maintainable blood pressure, sexual function and a feeling of well being. TOO MANY SIDE EFFDECTS AND INTERRACTIONS. I'm not saying not to take medications you need. I'm saying if you want to stay off more medications, exercise, don't eat crap, do drugs, smoke, drink, etc. and you will likely kick these jockers asses in the better health ageing game. Oh and save big bucks too boot! All those supplements bought them nothing. There are almost no pictures of them ( could not find even on of them less then 20 years ago) today and for good reason, they did not fair well. Just because you have a degree doesn't make you smart. People still believe this crap even after is has been discredited with modern research . Remember how Linus Pauling duped America into believing vitamin C cures colds, prevents cancer. Modern research found no correlations, it was debunked decades ago. Old people still believe it. These are examples of the worst scientist's ever, nothing to be respected to me. They are not about science, facts and knowledge, they are about ego and selling products.
