I feel the same about the old pictures. People probably got rid of them because no one wrote anything on the back, so why keep it when you don't know who it is? But I have found pictures in thrift stores with the names on the back and I always want to save them and give them to a family member who would treasure them. I am the same with old books. I buy them to use in journaling and then I just can't cut them up. That's why I stick to magazines and old ads, etc. I don't attach any emotion to them so it's easier. I enjoyed your video.

Thanks for sharing!♡ I have one (more like a handful...) of those "idea" books too. I glue down inspirational pieces and write down what they bring to mind in them. I have so many ideas. Since I'm bedbound and I am in a lot of pain most of the time I only get to dream of actually making the things... but I'm not giving up! I keep researching all the techniques and materials and plan things out. :) We have a similar taste in art. I've also been super inspired by fabric art lately. Which I hadn't been before. Especially recycled projects. Your recycled oil paintings look great btw. I've also been looking into collage art that is made from hand painted images rather than prints. Your paintings remind me of those...♡

I had someone talking to me about junk journals a month or two ago because I was showing some things I've collected for collage (and we also found someone's junk journal a year or two ago) and it's just synchronicity that yours and a couple others have popped up since then. I really love what you've done so far and how the signatures were sewn in. Would love to see after you've filled a handful in. :) Good work!
