A washed up greatest of all time Robinson still competitive. Sadly Ray struggled with the likes of Basilio and Fullmer who he would have easily handled in his prime. No disrespect to Basilio. Lots of disrespect to Fullmer. The dirtiest fighter of his and previous generations. A dirty fighting Neanderthal.

On 11th May 1922, professional boxers Georges Carpentier and Ted "Kid" Lewis competed in a match at the Olympia. It saw Carpentier successfully defend his World Light Heavyweight and EBU Heavyweight Titles by KO in controversial fashion, after taking advantage of a referee decision against Lewis. The bout is historic for being the first boxing match to be broadcast live on British radio. Watch the fight: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n9Wml7WnrNfGfI0.html if your interested in clips like this. color for a while. lol. i love this film, with him telling this story. to people not familiar, he was the welterweight champ and choynski was a heavyweight (there being no super middle let along light heavy class at the time). he destroyed one of the great boxer-punchers of the era at that time. walcott was a small welter, 5 feet tall. choynski was 5'11. one of the great david-and-goliath encounters in history

What a brutal sport -- intentionally causing brain damage.... Did the promoters ever follow what happened to the casualties in later years? We do have clips of Ali to consider..

Niggas saying Joe was older and past his prime as if Charles weren’t 30 pounds lighter during the fight lmao.

20 fighters that would’ve defeated Marciano off the top of my head: Foreman, Frazier, Ali, Norton, Liston, Holmes, both Klitschko brothers, Mike Tyson, prime Joe Louis, Lennox, Holyfield, Bowe, Morrison, Fury, Joshua, Andy Ruiz 😂, Parker, Zhang, Usyk 🤷♂️

At that pace they could had fight 13th more rounds the same night with the same result Liston by ko in each round. I guess he could had fought the same night against Patterson ans Johansson and ko both in the first round

I’ve heard many say that maybe Johnson threw the fight, was not really KO’d cuz he was shielding his eyes from the sun. So why would he wait until the 26th round to throw a fight or fake being KO’d?? Doesn’t really make sense. IMO, he said f it, I’m tired af and I give up. He did get dropped too, def looked like the punch connected well. Maybe he wasn’t knocked out cold, but his legs def weren’t moving.

Cool seeing him check the rules for rabbits punches, and then the ref feign ignorance of what that is

If they meet 10 times lixton will continue to defeat Patterson. Sonny lixton is a wild person, I still find it hard to belief that Al I defeated him

Jefferies was a beast but having dropped so much weight and incorporating his inactivity and age he had little chance....he should have had at least 2 warm u fights.

The GOAT doesn’t get enough respect on his name. The Rock went 49-0 ffs! He quit at 32, and did it all right. He was also a KO king, and could deliver at any moment.

Rocky was great for his day but my God it drives me insane how people can't see how many fighters after him would have chopped him to pieces. Muhammad Ali would have won every second of every round on his way to a late TKO or UD victory as would Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, and so many others. He would not be able to handle the big boxers but who's to say with the brawlers like Tyson, Holyfield, etc ...

Walcott took a dive the uppercut just barely touched him. He just took the $250,000 and went home. He still had the memories of the ko one year early and did not want another right hand like that again.
