One way(probably the harder way) to get your videos to look like they were recorded on an old vhs camcorder is to input the video into a vcr via composite cable and record it to a vhs tape. Once done, play the tape to a capture device and it will look old. Just a fun fact to share.

I've done similar experiments myself. This is more of the faux VHS style I've used for our Summer Stories series intros. It's not supposed to look like VHS, it's just that texture around the edges. If you haven't watched Summer Stories, check it out! Most of the shorts are more filmic than VHS-style. I just use a VHS overlay style for the intros.
