I've sold the XC90 but I still have my v70 D5 on 170k which is brilliant and still running strong.

Yeah it is rather simple to do to be honest. It's just taking the injector pipes off, Removing the injectors and then the rocker cover. The intake pipes and be a bit of a pig but it will come off.

@@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe I might be giving it a go. The kit I've found is £61, is that about right compared to what you paid? The garages round mine are looking at £500, so assuming a lot of that is labour costs.

I didn't have it soaking as long as the bleech but it did work. You do need to leave it for a week or 2.

So all I did was look up Dechroming wrap on ebay and bought some. I think they normally only come in one size. Width wise.

I know what your saying. I spoke to a couple of bodyshops and they said it's no issues they just need sanding down and that's it. The bears are all good just need to clean them out they haven't been blasted

I was looking into suspension but I am planning in to do some small mods to start then work my way up to bigger turbo and more power.

To be safe rather replace it but to be fair it was cheap.

@sparrowscarprojects-em3fe no problem. Most people think they need re mot because it makes sense that it should need a new mot. It's same with manufacturers warranty they all remain active even cat n or S your legally still covered by manufacturers warranty (if it has any)

Ow that's really kind mate thank you so much. We'll there are ones out there it depends on what you want. If your happy to buy a crash damaged one you could save quite a bit. However, you will always have that title to it. But I have £2500 buying mine as a Cat N to a none crashed damed of the same year and miles.

You will have to find a garage if you can't do it yourself.

Yeah it does give it a different look. All it takes is subtle changes that can mate it look hugely different.

Ow mate it was the biggest relief ever. No one could find the problem and your checking everything but just bring a crap ignition switch I would never of thought it without someone telling me. Over the moon.

When you look at it it's like no come on this can't be standard. Plus ehat I didn't show on the video some of the wires had a fury style tape on them under it was a badly but wire as in the protector was missing ha ha. You can see why I thought someone had been messing with it 🤣.

Yup that's standard factory wiring. All manufacturers do it

No that was the problem the chrap ignition cut the fuel and spark but when I changed it the spark worked. It was the relay that needed changing also to get that to prime.

Well chuffed you got it started! I had to go through similar with a cbr929 Fireblade. Mine the ecu had died so go sent off to carmo to fix. The fuel pump relay was bypassed to get it to run when I bought it.
