Warrior Pro knees, not the Pro+ the regular Pros are more manageable.

Always great to see another full righty! Still in my g5s, I over slide some times as it is and it seems like there is even more on the newer generations as tech gets better so I'm hesitant to commit to upgrading aside from glove/blocker. Definitely wouldn't mind some better pegs, any advice one how you chose yours? Any rinks say anything about you using your own?

Is the XL version of this NHL legal? (may be a silly question, but I'm a new goalie and my league follows NHL rules for goalie equipment)

NHL rules for chest equipment wouldnt let you use any retail CA's. They require the shoulder floaters to be stationary. The shoulders on this one arent close to legal, the regular Pro would be closer since they segment at the top. What league is enforcing NHL rules for the goalies? I'm guessing its more the 11" pads than anything else. No retail pant is NHL legal either.

@@GoalieUnion "the permitted sizes are the same as in the NHL (so if your chest protector is OK for ice hockey in minor hockey in Quebec, it will be accepted in the ProCosom League" this is the quote from the league when I asked about it. I should note it's a ball hockey league. Unfortunately I didn't realize how big chest protectors can get and I bought the RX3 E+ Senior XL (on clearance,no returns, so Im stuck with it. it's my first time ever buying an ice goalie chest), previously I was using a cheap Canadian tire street chest and I was getting a lot of bruises. I wonder are there any adjustments, with straps or other ways I could trim it down a bit or make it fit better so the shoulders dont push out too much?

I believe they mean closer to NHL rules for sizing not necessarily if the shoulder floaters are stationary

GoPro Hero 11 Black, helps to keep ISO in check and use a flat profile and I just tweak the colors/exposure in FCP. It looks miles better than letting it do it automatically imo.

They’re back in stock? I just use hockey tape and attach it to the chin strap. Their holders will snap from puck impacts

@@MtlStinger087 Awesome! Looks like they upgraded to USB-C too which is really nice. I just take about 5" of tape and wrap it around the mic and the chin strap. I dont use their clips at all, when I have the mic has fallen off and/or snapped the clip on hard puck impacts. Depending on how old your kid is that might not happen but the hockey tape around the chin strap works great and isnt intrusive.

Best answer I’ve heard you’d think Bauer could retain them if they’re officially their product though. Seems like a rule that needs to be updated.

@@GoalieUnion 100% it was the same for having authorised artists to paint their masks they where trusted to put the mask back the “correct way” it’s a shame hell even if you could send your mask to a licensed shop that could do it. But alas they would rather us buy new masks than re foam them.

Couldn't really tell you compared to the others. I know they have plenty of kick. I've used P3X's and I'd say they have more punch than those.

Thanks for checking in! Knee is okay about 99%, in my 3v3 league I tend not to record as much and doing morning skates. I'll be posting a vid soon...new equipment related whenever that comes in. You might see some more besides that beforehand too.

It is great to see another full right goalie out there. My son transitioned from a custom set of Bauer Machs to the 9X3. He is 6'3" and 165 lbs. He loves his True Pads. They are light, move great, and the upper thigh is stiff. They do come with Pro Laces, which we love as well. They are stiff and take a couple sessions to break in and get used to. They do not have a skate channel or boot strap so the pad sits higher than a Bauer pad. We have become fans of True moving forward...

awesome video just wondering what setting you are using when the gopro is film I just got the gopro hero 9 black and have it on my helmet but notice when I looked at the footage some of the clips had a yellow colour to it

Love my G6’s, took a few games to break it in but their dials now. Not liking the RX/3 pro+ chesty much. The protection is great but it always needs to be adjusted and it’s too big. The RX/3 pro+ pants are great just wish I got one size smaller.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I've only ever had CCM so I wanted to try True. Went with the 7x3s and these might have converted me. Agree on the seal, its pretty phenomenal. Thigh rise stiffness and FRS have taken a bit of an adjustment period but I may have dialed in my strapping this morning, every time I've gone a little looser it's gotten better.

I used the original toe tie to secure my bungee set up and use a triple knot woven through the face and the pad. The knot isnt exposed and isnt against my skate but sandwiched between the original bridge and the bungee bridge. Only have the string exposed along the very top of the bridge against the base of the pad and have had to replace the bungees but never the string.

Morbidly curious - how do you get involved/on a team with this skate, as a goalie? I knew a bunch of guys who did that at the Super Rink a few years ago, and know some of the guys in these videos.
