Unbelievable that price. Here in Australia they are rare and if you came across something like that here in similar confition i wouldn't be surprised if they asked anywhere from $20,000 to $40,000 US for it.

The IFS car is overall faster (in my opinion) but the solid axle articulates better in the big rocks and actually gains time on the IFS car in this section of the course

Insurance Auto Auctions and yes. You don’t have to have a dealer license, but still have to buy a membership. You will also be limited on states you can buy from.

This is cringeworthy. Bring it to a body shop, have them throw er on a frame machine, do the pulls, make sure everything measures out, and remove bad parts, weld new frame rail, rad support, and refit new body panels. Spend the $1500 for them to do it right, and have the pro's do it.

It sounds like you didn’t watch the entire video. It has new frame rails and everything was measured square then tacked on. Next, panels test fitted before welding. No need to pay someone else to do the same thing. Appreciate the comment though!

If there was a battery on the trailer you could have plugged the 7-way into your truck and powered the jack. I have a 24' car hauler with a winch on it and a battery and my truck powers/charges the battery while driving.

Kevin, unfortunately there isn't for short course trucks. Some teams do "arrive and drive" programs where you pay x amount of dollars to rent their truck and crew. I always thought off-road would only be a dream for me, but one thing led to another and here we are! So keep dreaming and get to the races!

The best thing you can do is go watch the races and soak it all in. Meet as many racers and crew members as you can next season. The people are the most important part of it all. Then find a class that fits you and get racing!

What fuel do you run in the truck? Do they check the specific gravity of the fuel at the race track?

I run 110 and they check the fuel's dielectric constant. No matter what the video might show, I am definitely not a fuel scientist so I can't tell you much more than that! lol
