Anyone change to two cables and seen the difference in temps and power draw, let us know?
@XendindromeАй бұрын
I have a 4090. It takes 4 8 pin cables. I ran 3 cables from my 850w Power Supply. Should I run 4?
@PCAG888Ай бұрын
I would play a few games (i.e. 2-3) and record the gpu temps with the current setup. Then do it with 4 cables, play the same 2-3 games for a few minutes or so and check the temps and power draw and report back? Put in other words, from this test, aforementioned, you will know. From my own test, i noticed the power draw is less and system runs cooler but that could just be a fluke.

I see asian guy talking about computers. I listen and I disagree. The best value for money it is intel i5-12400f clocked by shim on B660 board to 5 GHz. Both board and CPU you can take for 200$ second hand and brand new they are 280$. I agree that 12th, 14th and 13th gen i9s have to be avoided also AM5 at this stage.

AM4 is EOL but thats why the prices drop. Got a X470 ASrock Taichi Ultimate for 70 bucks - nobrainer. It has 10gbit Nic on board and supports 128GB ECC Ram. Now those 5900x cpus have to come under 200€. With that beefy CPU I do not even need a GPU for transcoding 😂

To re-route the pcie 6+2 cables, try just taking the GPU out, then getting the cables where you need them to go *before* you put the GPU back in, then plugging it back in.

ahh man ty i was just putting one together im having issues with my gpu hitting 85c+ atm gotta get smaller psu i think so i can fit one more fan in there
@PCAG8882 ай бұрын
Sounds like something is wrong with your GPU. I would put another one in there to see if that fixes the problem if you have an extra GPU available. This case has a bunch of mesh holes so that should keep your GPU cool under load. Adding another fan might move the temperatures down 5 degree max. Were you able to add a 92 mm exhaust fan at the rear..that will help cooling your pc overall and thus your gpu too.
@lurknlurch2 ай бұрын
@PCAG888 yes indeed ill have to get back to you I'll give you the case name Yes I was able to squeeze another fan in there now it's only getting 75c at max . I also moved the psu cord over even more .. it's stable now I can play bf2042 with no issue . Other then it being a ryzen 5 3600 and a 1660s I get a good 75 fps.. obviously not on max setting
