I thought that Seonghwa was in the egg because he is the oldest. Ateez was born the moment the first member was born, and Ateez is as precious and valuable as a golden egg. That's only a non Korean viewpoint, though. I appreciate the Korean history/folklore explanation.

Just my own analysis to the MV, Story Plot: "REFLECTIONS" (Mirror & Water) Gaeul is the protagonist here.. She notice theres something weird happening in the pool/water as her co-members also acting strange like been not normal (being under the spell) bcoz they want to lure her on the pool. Gaeul being curious and scared, she run away from them and ended up entering the forest where Evil IVE doing their rituals. (And now, she surely knew that they were casting spells to her friends). She took/stole the wand from them which made them mad. (Remember the girls got out of the pool and looking for her? the spell has been cancelled when Gaeul stole it while they are in a casting state.) and upon seeing in a magic mirror they know its her who stole it. When Gaeul return back, she gives and show the wand to her co-members. Since the wand gives powers to whoever holds it, they all accended and transform into the Protector of Light/Good. The Evil IVE chased her to return it back to them but they didn't allow it bcoz surely it will become wicked and spells may be used again So they fight until they defeated the evil ones. After it pass 12AM, even they defeated the evil ones they did not make it on time. The wand that was kept inside the fridge on a dimension automatically travels to some random place (which is the shore). Now, since the wand gives power to its beholder, IVE becomes just a normal persons again (you will notice in the end after they see the child in the mirror, Wonyoung accesory in her Ear vanishes) but still looking for it to chase and reclaim it again to whoever holds it.❤️

ATEEZ Comeback is Incomplete without your Anaylsis ft KQ Boss

This MV was shot in LA before Coachella since they came early and there were many suitcases probably containing their props and costumes for the MV. It’s an ongoing joke btw atinys that with all those luggage Ateez was still half naked on Coachella stage.

Thanks to ATINY we got to know that Seonghwa popping out from the golden egg is a reference to a "Park" who founded the Park Clan, who was also supposedly born from a golden egg 😭. Also Seonghwa dressed like Halateez, being the Mito

There is a traditional legend in Korean history that the ancestor of the Park clan hatched out of a golden egg and Ateez has tried to include that legend in the MV with Seonghwa hatching from the egg since he is the only Park in the group (I just copied it to someone)
