Wow! I got some serious feels from that performance. I've genuinely got goosebumps, it's was so emotive. Absolutely loved it.

So many songs are based on this Songs 'Premises'.... I ALWAYS associate this song with the parting of someone, when either someone has Died, or when someone is 'Leaving', and we never know when we may see them again!!... I used to play this on the Guitar

It is appropriate for funerals. I don't deny you that. However, also keep in mind that this song was simply originally about someone leaving a dinner party and wanting "one more for the road," e.g., the "parting glass." To me, this translation resonates even more so with my particular heritage. I can absolutely picture my Irish ancestors concocting this elaborate song simply to obtain one more drink to carry them home! At any rate, cheers to however you interpret this song and may good joy be with you all!

I'm sorry but because I keep forgetting that Jesse can be a boy's name. So I thought that when he said he wanted to be with Jesse's girl, I thought he meant like he wants to be her bestie. Like on a slay girl way. The type where they gossip, drink wine and be queens. So when he got some beef from the guy in Stacey's mom, I thought it was more like a. "You ain't good enough for her, bae. And you'll never be~ ✨💅💅💅✨"

Played this for my dad while he was on hospice at home. Played it for him has he took his last breath. Called my sister and hugged my dad until she got there to keep him warm for her to say goodbye. This song brings me to the heavens

I absolutely love the way that both songs establish themselves, and then slowly work into each other, until we're going seamlessly from one chorus to the other. This video is such a fantastic mashup of two songs you might not expect to go together that well. It not only musically goes together, but it adds depth and layers to the songs, by making it a rivalry. And the cherry on top is that it's all a cappella, and it sounds amazing

A parting glass of Tullemore Dew has been hoisted at all my family burials, and most recently my mothers. I keep the bottle in the truck for my visits, and amazingly this tune has cued up on local irish radio several times as i arrived at gravesite. It hold great value in the heart, just listen to the words
