Good job! Now chunk all that sissy spinning stuff and fish with manly rods. And work on your hook set. It's been brutal in my neck of the prairie. But they are pretty shallow.

@KyleCortianaFishing3 күн бұрын
@@GavinWedekingkind of a silly thing to accuse someone of, especially when neither one of us will ever get to measure the racks. And I definitely know what it takes to make a 170-inch buck. Just find it odd that instead of something positive; you decide to try and belittle someone’s knowledge and you don’t even know me. That’s all. I really enjoy my time chasing whitetails and I enjoy trying to age/score a buck whether I see it in person, harvest the animal, or see a trail pic. Do I nail the total inches every time? Nope. Do I guess based on gross score or net…I always guess on gross bc I think a buck deserves every inch of antler they grow. I’m not mad, just saying I think it’s a silly argument to have considering the circumstances.

The fish move around a lot there with respect to the prespawn, spawn, and post spawn seasons. Get as much time on the water as possible and fish everything in front of you until the puzzle starts to come together. I know that’s vague but true.

I ain't afraid of nothing, but lightning makes me tinkle in my panties and cry. To me, that escapee fish should be a no-brainer. If no one else claims it, it's obviously your fish. I've seen that happen, you just find a net and recapture it. But I don't fish pro tournaments so I guess they have to figure out a way to screw the negligent pro if possible. 😉

I put a 4 lb hookset on an 8" fish the other day and he flew across the boat like superbass. I've been catching them on a little tube with a 3/8th oz weight dragging it through brush piles. Nothing else was working. You needed to throw a 5XD. 👍

A little tube can be deadly!! Have you seen the Juvy Craw by Great Lakes Finesse?
@steveparker724012 күн бұрын
@@KyleCortianaFishing No, my unsophisticated local fish gobble up the Strike King 2.75" so that's what I feed them. I don't throw tubes enough to get fancy. Although I did catch a 9.5 last year on a 3.5" tube flipped.

I fished Lake Eufaula through the 90’s and 2000’s, mostly White Oak Creek. We had tournament guys eyeing us because we were in a panfish style boat catching big bass. lol 🐟 My father-in-law(fishing partner) is home with the Lord. I sure miss those days on the Lake. Great video!

My picture profile is a 7 pounder I caught on Eufaula back in the 90’s. It looks like you were fishing one of the Islands just out and south of white oak creek? I never could figure out how to effectively fish around those islands, but we had a hummingbird fish finder with about a 6 inch screen. (Old School).

Yes I definitely thought about that after the fact and knew I’d had to call the TD to find out if I could keep that fish or not.

@nolanminor6761 their story was a little different if I recall bc they left and then went back several minutes later and then hooked the line. Mine was still all in the act of the initial fish bite and hook set. Not saying the TD would have allowed it but I probably stood a better chance.
