Great video! Can anyone tell me the easiest way to change the belt on an Admiral? Clearly I have to pull about the roller assembly to a degree - how do I go about this? Thanks in anticipation :)

Thanks for sharing - this helped rule out coils as my issue and it ended up being the coil gap itself on the one side, set to Briggs spec of .010 and now Mower is running like a champ!

Is there any difference between testing an electronic ignition coil and an old-style points ignition coil?

RU afraid to demo your catcher repaired job by starting your mower on KZfaq?? I don't have confidence in this repair job! There's "NEVER enough time to do things RIGHT but always enough time to do it AGAIN!!!

Why not place the patch on the "inside" of the catcher material; that's the side with air-pressure and grass-weight pressing on it?? Outside patches have a greater tendency to get blown or knocked off. Also, patches are best when they have rounded edges, not corners <= corners small size have the tendency of lifting-off?

Thanks for putting this video up. It doesn't help me, as Camec chose to put a steel wire strap on the inside that is tightened with a loose nut/bolt arrangement that precludes just pulling it off. Bloody annoying. But your video has obviously helped others, so thanks for doing it.

At 4:38 you should have said "infinite resistance" No resistance is continuity which would read zero.

Great video ...I've just got my mower working again thanks to your tutorial. however, I think I'll need to replace the gaskets in the Carb the next time around the 'o' ring was flattened and I'm sure the gasket was missing from the carb end that meets the main engine. can you suggest where I can get the carb kit for mine. It's a Mountfield SP534 model 51cm cut. Cheers

When cleaning our Indesit washing machine, the inner tension spring ring came loose. We were about to buy a new machine until we came across your video. Competent instructions, easy and successful to follow, many thanks from Austria! You, Sir, are a hero to us!

These also fail when they warm up and leak internally due to insulation failure. No test for that.

you are lucky you get a fuel tap built into the tank. Over here it is just a fuel tank , no fuel tap.

Hi Roy ,I think I should point out that the 3rd coil you checked as open circuit has the metal cased.Resistive plug connector which plugs into the coil lead .It's value is 5k ohm. If this item is open circuit or the connection is corroded to the lead. Then the test will show no reading on the coil.It can be misleading.I got caught out and purchased a new coil for nothing.Cleaned the connection after finding out it can be separated. Then tested ok.

I spotted an essential piece missing as you put the blade on and thought at the time “this fellas missed a part” 😂 I’ve just inherited one of these myself, used it today for the first time. The only issue I have is the fact that the blade spins permanently whilst the engine is running instead of only spinning when engaged via the handle like a lot of my previous mowers. Not sure if this is standard on this mower or if it’s something I need to take a look at. Great video mate 👍🏼
