Great idea! I have also been pondering about this problem. Accuracy of tiny quantities is a challenge and this device will solve that like a boss. But there is another issue, that comes with tiny quantities, namely the proportional large waste of matter. Particularly with the thicker types of materials, since there will be a relatively big portion of the paint left on the inside of the tool used. Tamiya paint does not come in large, cheap buckets so I try to make the most of it. Additionally, the material left in the pipette (or whatever you use) diminishes the accuracy you're looking for which is a bummer when you want dead on accurate measures. One method I have used to counter this is to divide the paint dose into two or more measures and alternate paint and thinner when adding it to the mix. This way I get most of the paint into the mix as the thinner will clean out most of the paint matter with each measure. There will be less cleaning to do at the end as well so this way you save both paint and thinner

I'm sure you know by now that the Mobius trigger is quite soft, even at it's stiffest setting. When you get everything dialed in she's a great brush, but you already own one of the best detail brushes in existence.

Seriously, you can clean the cut, hold it together, and super glue it. Super glue was originally designed for surgical use to close cuts and wounds without stitching. By the time it naturally wears away the cut should be healed and it will protect it from germs while it heals.

I was wondering if or when you would notice the cut, thats how i know when a blade is sharp... I tend not to notice the wound until i see the blood. 😅

Wish i waited to buy this as i bought it from a store a few months back before i knew about your store... no locator, now i can see it being useful as it took me 3 attempts to get the right size circle. i have been thinking over the past few months when using it... either my eyes, the circle cutter or my ruler is out 🤣

It looked to me like it drew up more paint than water into the pipette, So had to go and see how these work lol, and after looking at this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h62IZ5xh0Nuvmps.html It may be because of the angle you drew it at not being vertical. Just my OCD observation.
@TheBusinessNomad
@TheBusinessNomad 2 ай бұрын
Hi. It should not matter the angle as you have dialled into the pipette the precise quantity you want to draw up. Thanks for checking!

Great video, nice find! That's well worth watching alongside this one, and also explains the ergonomics, the tool is designed to be comfortable to use vertically, which is the required angle for accurate collection of material.

I bought an extra 3 sets of sanding heads with my sanding tool and went a similar route, but slightly different- from The Range, I bought a Saber storage box, which has removable dividers in it. I put the same shaped heads together with the four different grits- once I know which shape of head I need, it's easy to work through the grits. The box, which cost less than a tenner, has space for the sander, its charging cable, the eight different sanding heads and a couple of very fine sanding sponges, and there's enough space for a tin of UV filler (fantastic stuff!) and the DSPIAE UV light as well. This suits my needs very well as I don't have the space for a proper desk, and can leave the box in a stack with other collections of stuff, to be extracted as and when it's needed.

Omg I'd have had that polished perfect in 10s with a dremmal and some fabric polishing tips for polishing metal, no scratch markers no matter the grit no matter the pressure! I'll never go back to using gimmicky stuff like this, there all just repurposed appliances like the sanding pen was designed as an engraver.. It's the same with the Mr hobby sander it's literally a cheap toothbrush!! 😆

I'm loving their products. I recently bought their reciprocating pen sander and their rotary one. I'd quite like this too. The one thing I do wish they would change is I wish they would do velcro backed sandpaper so then we can easily switch out different levels of grit with out having to throw away once peeled off. Other than that they are awesome

I bought one and I'm very pleased with it. I also bought an additional 3 sets of sanding heads. With different grades of sandpaper on each set, I can go through 180, 400, 800 and1000 grits by swapping heads rather than fiddling about changing the sandpaper, which is a lot less faff and much quicker.

I bought the Dspiae ES-P drill/polisher direct from Dspiae without realising Tyrell sold it. I then bought the attachments from Tyrell and will be buying the Sanding pen from them. The Dspiae tools are exquisitely made including their attachments and fittings. The ES-P tool is a revelation and I have now dumped a great pile of cutting & sanding tools, and my Dremel. I should point out that I can still use my Dremel tools in my ES-P using the Tyrell supplied Dspiae chuck.👍🏍🤩

Hi Dave, this looks like an exciting new product. How about different radius curved shoes, both convex and concave? I find the grit comes off the Albion Alloys cylinder sticks pretty quickly, leaving a pointy piece of plastic. With a curved or cylindrical shoe and self adhesive abrasive, this would be a problem solved.

Great video! I'm thinking about grabbing this tool. One question for you: if you slide the guide off the measurement rail, can the black section be used like at square? I've seen a competing product (that doesn't like a premium) but has the ability to become a t square. Multi use tools are a bit more attractive. Thanks!

Thank you for this review, great video. I bought this arch last week and I love it. I used 3 lamps before ( left, right and from above), but this arch gives me a much better illumination. It´s much more even and I can see more details than before. I use it when I sculpt and paint figures in clay. Really incredible.
