It's a shame Jimmy Carr is a twat, as I find some of his stand up really funny . But having worked on corporate events where he's been paid thousands to present awards by the sponsors . And seen the way he acts to the people who employ him , the crew , the audience members at these events . It really changed my views on him . I remember one particular event , where he was talking about a particular director . Saying something along the lines , of she will be up now to present the last award . She came up on stage , a really lovely lady . And said oh my name is actually pronounced a different way . But she was smiling at the small mistake , and was just turning back to all the people in the crowd enjoying the night . And he was standing next to her and said " yeah whatever " . It took a moment or two too realise this wasn't some little aside , or a pun . His scowl said it all . She tried to carry on joking , but we all knew what she felt . The awards ended shortly after , and Carr dissapeared as soon as he could . I think I was operating a camera that evening. , Or possibly a small spotlight . But either way , I and the rest of the crew felt the same thing . He was an utter prick . If you don't enjoy the events , don't take the money . If you take the money ( thousands of pounds ) then show respect to the client , do the job , then bugger off .
