I haven’t fished it since then in all honesty. From what I remember it’s pretty featureless and around 12ft deep. Wouldn’t ignore the margins but other than that I’m not overly familiar with the place. Good luck!

Peg 1 was doing fish the weekend before Ste and Stu arrived. A chap was in 6 for the first and last day and didn’t have anything. Fish started showing in 7s water where I had mine from but very little happening throughout our time there

@@theintrepidcarpers8469 pretty mad that fish are normally in 6, I’m in peg 13 as we speak had a 24lber Friday night but there’s been two fish caught all weekend on the whole lake and the other was in peg 1

@@louib07_39I don’t buy into the “hot peg” idea. All down to conditions and where they want to be. Can differ day to day. Hope you bag a few more before you go and it’s drier than when I was there

16 wraps I was fishing on peg 13. Always found a light scattering of boilies to work. The other wraps we were on are in the vlog, few years ago now so can’t remember off the top of my head.

What peg have you booked? I use fluoro d rigs but anything simple will do the job. Hookbait colour didn’t seem to matter we caught on all sorts but matching wafters and we did slightly better on orange wafters

Do what your confident in doing. Keep disturbance down and don’t over complicate your rigs. Matching wafter just using boilie with a throwing stick always worked for me

I was in 15 and my bites were between the island and aerator. However I was only casting to showing fish. Didn’t fish 16 but looked like it had a good margin. I’d keep disturbance down and not spod. Throwing sticks works well for me. Let us know how you get on

@The Intrepid Carpers fishing on peg 16 m8,tried the margin to the left no joy not a bleep,so put one towards right aerator and just put one in between aerator havnt spodded at all,had a cpl half runs on right rod near aerator but so far m8 blanking in style ,my lads same on peg 15

Hopefully something happens. Casting to shows with a matching wafter using the tips I mentioned in the vlog with a pva mesh bag worked for me. Good luck

Blanked m8,all 3 pegs down our side blanked,fish came out on pegs 1,2 and 6. I was limited to only as far out as the aerators without crossing lines with peg1 but all the showing fish were in the middle wrong peg wrong day I guess

14mm edge boilies. Bought 3kg and brought just over 1kg home and that was between 2 of us.

Few fish were showing tight the island. Keep an eye on the water. Casting to showing fish is what did my bites

I’ve been twice now and had 82 fish between 2 of us in 2021. My mate has been since and they had 7 between them so it all depends on the week. Good quality boilie and liquid worked for me. Yellow and pink hookbaits did the most bites. The lake particle seemed to get quick bites. Fish seemed to be on the far back and in the corner near the gate. Simple rigs on bottom baits or wafters will be more than sufficient, didn’t seem to do well on pop ups. Good luck!

North Lake is the better stocked lake. More of a runs water type. Think there’s a couple of 40s in there. There’s plenty of pictures on their Facebook page.

Cheers Tony, I haven’t been down to M1 for a while now but I found keeping the disturbance down and using a throwing stick on a boilie only approach worked for me. I’d avoid spodding but a personal preference. What peg have you booked?

Hi, I think it was 15 or 16 wraps out in front. The middle of the lake with a wide spread of boilies has usually done me well. Keep the disturbance down and I found that they move in as most people are spodding and making a lot of noise

Yeah real shame. All depends what you’re after. What sort of water are you looking for? Easier with higher stock or lower stock harder waters?

I’d try Hunters Lodge in Elsham if you’re local. Few ponds there which vary in difficulty, only small but a nice place
