Dji osmo action 2 vs insta360 go 3s? Which has better details in 4k? Which is better for pov?

The differences aren't huge - if you pause, the leaves and grass are less smeared in 8K... I'm impressed by the relative sharpness of 4K linear - think I'll start using it when hiking with camera mounted on my chest. Thanks!

This is a great series. I also love small cameras and have a lot of them :) I agree with your assessment, on balance GoPros are still the sweet spot. I prefer the 11 over the 12 because I like getting GPS info in the metadata. For photos I shoot .gpr, which when taken into Lightroom offers a pretty solid file. I say this as someone who also owns larger formats too. Insta360 has been the most disappointing. They get a lot of quality of life features down, but the workflow is a pain (no I don’t want to use their app). The Ace Pro promised so much, yet the lens and 50 megapixel output is awful for photos.

The fun part is, if you have two cams, give one to your partner, stick it on your chest, and then you have two different point of view when editing!

I just got the replacement camera yesterday. Did you get yours? Guess what the door for both sd and battery still easily pops open 🤦🏽‍♀️ This camera definitely needs a case if you’re using it in the water.

I have watched a lot of reviews in TikTok and KZfaq before buying this camera on February. No one mentioned this issue in there review.

Can confirm. Found this vid after looking to see if I was the only one with the issue. Mine requires even less pressure on that corner/edge for the battery door to open. Happpend today whilst filming underwater, completely filling the battery compartment with water. Unit is now a paperweight. Will see how I go with a refund. Other than this, I've loved it. I just hope they fix these issues. The other charger/sd door is also faulty ive found, with it completely coming off it's hinge.

hi, i didnt know what that tool was for and i tried to remove the lens cover with my hands and it wasnt easy, i applied 70% power and it didnt move at all, once i used the tool, it was very smooth, didsnt apply any pressure, the cover just came off

Curious, do you still get light streaks when pointing at lights when you remove the lens?

How's the "waterproofness"?

I'm wondering if it's 'non removable' because of the lack of internal sealing against humidity. I believe gopros are still waterproof without the lens filter and this prevents moisture / humidity from getting between the lens elements and causing fogging. You only have to worry about moisture between the front of the lens and the removable filter. I wonder if the Ace Pro isn't similarly sealed. and removing the square filter too many times or in the wrong environment could cause fogging.

It’s just the lens cover. Insta360 actually sells a set of nd filters on their site.

is the camera still waterproof even you replace the lense?

Its sd card, usb c door....once detached, not possible to be attached back. Not like gopro which much easier to be reattached

Good job 😁 I did the same a month ago. The tiny drops of glue they used provide no extra water resistance and a drop/fall could break that glue bond so no way they can prove you removed it unless of course they see the video 😁 The glue only minimally prevents twisting. The water resistance is from the o-ring in the cover. The AMagisn filters have very poor water resistance as the glass is held on with really poor double sided tape. I took one apart on my channel and did a bunch of water tests. Some lasted 40 minutes and some leaked immediately. For rain and as a replacement for a broken oem cover they are fine but DO NOT use them without a dive case under water.

That is not the lens. It's the lens cover!

Am I mistaking when I say it’s just a lens cover and not the actual lens? Also, I wonder if the one time free replacement is voided if you do this yourself? (New I360 AP owner.)

Got mine yesterday. And mounted it in my car. Idk what happened it the battery fell out. 😂the battery door vibrated open I guess.
