It took me till I was 28 before I had enough money saved up to buy my own house. It is rough, and definitely my father and I were getting on each others nerves until I was able to move out. I was fortunate to have a decent job without a bachelors degree so I didn't owe six figures to a college. Hope it works out for you, thankfully you have parents willing to help you out just like mine did. It makes all the difference.

Gen x here. Growing up has always been hard. Can not imagine growing up and having every little horrible thing I did (and I did plenty) being cammed and posted would even be like. A good majority of the world has "kids" living with the parents until they are established and inho it is a very positive thing. Use the time to your best advantage.

yess!! i was moved out for ~6.5 years, but had to move back home and WOW its an adjustment. i've missed my parents cooking, their help with things, etc, but the independence and just having your OWN space (living room, kitchen, etc) is so nice and i miss it sm. the silverware thing is SO valid too lol its so small but i get ittt
@abbyftdt9 күн бұрын
that must have been so hard! hopefully you can have your own space again soon, and I’m glad you the silverware thing too lmao

Thank you so much for sharing, Abby! The past few days I’ve been stressing about those things as well (I also live with my parents and just don’t see a way of affording to move out any time soon). Thanks for opening up; it helped me a lot and made me feel less alone.

You're definitely not behind... I started my degree when I was in my mid 20s and the time flew by once I started it. Go back when you can and finish your studies because I would always advise people to give themselves as many options as possible for the future. I live in Ireland and rent is mostly affordable here but it's so hard to actually find a place that is available to rent!

Found you through my fyp on KZfaq and I’m thankful. I have so much guilt/shame around cleaning, I share similar habits to you and wait until my room becomes a messed up fairy cave before I have the nerves to clean. For me, I can clean others places for FUN. At work I tidy up, at my bfs place I tidy up religiously, and especially at my family home. I think I’m a clean person but when it comes to MY home, MY space i couldn’t care less. I think I need to start valuing how good I feel IN my clean space not how good I feel WHEN I clean (when I have motivation). Loved this video ❤

Great vlog! I had to go back and check to see what city you went to b/c when you described the woman next to you and the empty seats on your other side I thought you might have been next to me at my show 😂. It wasn’t me, but I was an older woman next to a younger woman who went alone to my show (and seats empty on her other side). I also wasn’t thrilled about being without friends but had to tell myself seeing the performance was better than any awkwardness.

Thanks for the great recommendations! I feel like my taste is pretty similar to yours so I’ll certainly come back for future book videos. 100% agree with what you said about Night Shift. I also read that last week and I was pretty disappointed, it was just too much spice and not enough story. I’m currently reading “Loveless” by Alice Oseman and really love it so far, you should definitely check it out if you haven’t already!

Then She Was Gone is really good, I hope you'll enjoy it. Anything Lisa Jewell is brilliant. I love the white romper, super flattering but wear whatever you feel most comfortable in and DO NOT buy merch for $100, that price point for basic merch is insane to me! Great vlog, you give effortless vibes even though it's obvious the editing etc. takes a lot of work 😊 I hope to see this channel go from strength to strength.

I do exactly that. I read the books free on my reader. If it's a 5 star, I buy a physical copy of it. Since I don't throw 5 stars that often, I buy collection copy or hardback if possible.
