Hi Susan! Thank you so much for sharing this insightful and refreshing NBC documentary about Michael Landon. I grew up watching Little House on the Prairie on Monday nights. Watching Little House each week helped to brighten my Mondays and helped me to start another week of school. I didn’t like school very much, but Little House made Monday nights a lot easier to deal with my anxiety about school. Mr. Ingalls was like having another father who was on TV. Great show! Wonderful stories! Impressive acting! Highway to Heaven is also a series that I still like watching. Thanks again for sharing this video that I just discovered this morning. I think Michael Landon was an amazing man and actor. I truly feel blessed that I was able to be a part of his life on the other side of the screen. I lost my father very early and I know that empty feeling. I am now 70 years old, so remember him as little Joe as well as all his other productions and was an avid watcher of Little House on the Prairie. I’m also a huge fan of Yellowstone and was amazed to find out that his daughter was the actresses in that production, all I can say is God bless him and his family

Just think! When Michael Landon died, and went to Heaven, he got to meet the original Laura Ingles Wilder.. and they talked and laughed when he explained about his TV show. And he met the real, Pa, and explained about his TV show... First thing he probably asked was, "what's a TV?"

I 'm really lucky for the chance to view this pilot of Michael Landon. I sure wish I could see the story of it. But God had a reason, a plan. Who knows, probably he's with Him now and maybe he 's an angel. Nobody knows God plan but for sure Michael has give the world a great legacy. Rest in peace Mr Landon, I'm still like a old lot of people, I'm certain continue to view your wonderful works. 🎉🎉❤

We just LOVED "ANYTHING," Micheal Landon filmed. We are "SOOOO SAD" that "US" was never able to continue on due to Micheal Landon's passing away just 3 months after this was filimed. To think he was filming this pilot movie & acting in it when he was SOOO ILL with one the worst cancers ever that you could be stricken with. Miicheal Landon wanted to leave something SPECIAL for us to watch one last time about Family Love between a Father & Son & Grandfather & Grandson for all of us to enjoy. He was a remarkable talented person. Boy, WE MISS YOU, Micheal Landon. Rest in peace forever and we "THANK YOU SOOO MUCH" for leaving ALL of us, your Legacy of WONDERFUL wholesome movies & tv series that families can enjoy together. The major networks need to run Little House's and Highway to Heaven's, to remind people of the goodness that could exists in the hearts of others. That its not unmanly or uncool to feel with the heart and to not judge, but love others !!

So many yrs have passed when Michael landon said if he had stopped drinking smoking he believed that was the source of this problem which started his cancer if he had given up earlier that he would not be in the situation he was in the cancer was far advanced to late in those decades that no new cancer treatment was funded now its 2024 not 1991 its long long of decades ago he was a good actor sadly missed 💔💔💔🙏

Regardless of his personal life..no one perfect. I grew up watching him. Im still watching Bonaza and LHOTP. I love Michael Landon❤

I’m so glad I finally got to see this. No doubt it would have been on for five seasons, if not more. The actor who plays his son, Cary, looks a lot like Zac Efron. Great acting, writing, and directing.

I use to wet the bed and one night i thought if I drank a whole bunch of water before I went to bed then id go to the bathroom before and not wet the bed. But it didnt work . The water didnt come through until I fell fast asleep, and then I really wet the bed.

The awful truth is this gentle giant of actor had cancer when he made this brilliant pilot Pancreatic cancer shows very little to no symptoms until it mastates to the liver. That is when Michael started to feel unwell. Even now, it's a death sentence back , and nothing could be done. God bless this great man who left this mortal planet far too early.

Absolutely one of the greatest (if not the greatest) actors of all time. Miss him so much. Rest in peace Michael, YOUR WORK ON EARTH IS DONE.

God bless Michael Landon. My mother loved Little House in the 70s, I grew up watching Highway to Heaven in the 80s. He was legendary and is fondly remembered by many generations.

Michael is missed so much 😢lovely to watch Little house on the praise. I watched it when I was young and every episode brought a tear to my eye. Superb actor and you can see how genuine at every performance ❤❤
