*Here's an old Sea Shanty about pirates being attacked by dolphins; you guys can have it. I can't do anything with it, so I'll just give it away to whoever wants it* In the realm of the seven seas, where the winds do howl and the waves do roar, A tale of terror and tumult, we’ll recount once more. 'Twas a day of doom, when the dolphins came to play, And our crew, so brave and bold, was caught in their sway. We set sail on the “Black Swan”, with a crew of 20 strong, Bound for the Caribbean, where the treasure did belong. But little did we know, as we sailed through the night, A pod of dolphins, with a wicked delight, Attacked our ship, with a chorus of clicks and whistles loud, And our crew, so brave and bold, was left to cower and cower proud. Oh, the dolphins, they came to our shore, With a hump and a grind, and a splash galore. They chased us down, with a fin and a tail, And our crew, so brave and bold, was left to wail. Our captain, a man of great renown, Tried to defend us, with a cutlass drawn. But the dolphins, they were too many, too strong, And our ship, so sturdy, was soon to be gone. They humped and they grinded, with a rhythmic beat, And our crew, so brave and bold, was left to retreat. Oh, the dolphins, they came to our shore, With a hump and a grind, and a splash galore. They chased us down, with a fin and a tail, And our crew, so brave and bold, was left to wail. We thought we’d seen the worst, as the dolphins did play, But little did we know, they had more in store that day. They swam beneath the waves, with a wicked grin, And our ship, so sturdy, was soon to sink within. We clung to the wreckage, as the dolphins did swim, And our cries, so pitiful, were drowned by the brine. But still we held on, through the stormy night, And prayed for dawn, to bring an end to the fight. And when the sun rose high, we saw the dolphins fade, And our ship, so sturdy, was left to drift and decay. Oh, the dolphins, they came to our shore, With a hump and a grind, and a splash galore. They chased us down, with a fin and a tail, And our crew, so brave and bold, was left to wail. So if ye ever sail the seas, and ye see a pod of dolphins play, Beware, me hearties, for they may come to stay. For they’ll hump and grind, with a wicked delight, And ye’ll be left to wail, through the dark of night.

Shen-en-dough-UH? Mis-si-soor-EYE?! What country are you guys from? Not America, that's for sure. At least you didn't use the awful British "I love your Nancy; she suits my fancy" lyric!

Just say, how did you experience this without any lag connection does every time I try to sing with boys? They don’t line up right but you got it perfect over here. Is that editing or is that true like some sequential way of doing things?

I do love the Johns introducing me to new bangers (and some old classics and artists I haven't heard) via covers. Very adequate! I love this one.

It was a very nice and cosy stream ^^ Long time watcher, first time donating. It was very fun to hear you slightly butcher my name 😉 Reminded me a little bit of how people pronounced my name when I was living in Ireland for a while, good times.

You fellows ALWAYS manage to take the great standards of history, and put your modern twist on them--making them even better! Love the harmonies, and the slightly different (and more harmonic) passages in this version. My only commplaint (and I have VERY few with your work) is you left out the entire end of the song--the part about the French Surrender and the expression for Peace and Increased Trade, and the hopes for Britain's supremacy of the seas. I get that you have a large "woke: contingent of fans, and sometimes have to "iron over" the lyrics of these old songs, but I think your omission of the last few verses of this song are a TREMENDOUS loss. It's OK to drink a little Kool Aid, guys, but PLEASE don't let the Kool Aid color your musical history too much...

Your lovely rendition brings me back to 1982, 5th grade choir, when we'd sung this as part of an America medley. I've never forgotten that the first verse, not for 42 years.
