I had a friend & Co worker who was homeless & struggled with demonic possession. I gave him Rez tape "Silence Screams" and it REALLY HELPED him to see Gods glory & turn him around. He said, these guys are the best Rock band on earth 🌎 ! Shaz, wherever you are in 2024 I pray the LORD Jesus Christ has fully captured your heart & mind !

Kevin, thank you! I have seen Phil on a number of occasions. Who was the MC that night? Phil was on tour with Michael Card some time ago - awesome. Kevin, you should put your website link or a link to your video work. I have fond memories of attending Calvary Chapel Bible School in Twin Peaks in the mid 80's.

I saw the Sweet Comfort Band in 81 (Pepperdine U)....we loved the base player (he was good).They were either having a bad day or they had (in general) a very mediocre walk with Christ!

Hi Kevin. Not sure if you're still checking this but I see alot of video being cleaned up, sharpened and converted to 4K HD. I heard it wasn't that hard to do with good software. I would love to watch some of these gems in remastered video. The sound and camera work are great though.

Bad theology, great music. Natural man doesnt want God and has zero ability to choose God : dead in trespasses and sins. Darkened in understanding and engaged in evil deeds. That's what the bible says clearly. Repeatedly Jesus said : NO MAN -can- come to Me, except the Father who sent Me, draw him" john 6:44

By buddy James and I would lay on the carpet in front during the concerts. We drove up from South Laguna. I remember thinking, if God can forgive Randy (I think he had even served some prison time) he can forgive me!! Shortly after Chuck Jr. baptized me down at Dana Point. The rest is history. James is a Calvary pastor, and I love Jesus with every fiber of my being. I am thankful my family went to Calvary as it grew from the tents to Costa Mesa. I heard the right words at the right times from Randy in his flip-flops and board shorts.

With all due respect to Phil & his band but how is this kind of music honoring, worshipping, lifting up or glorifying the Name of The Lord? It would seem to me that this music is more geared toward entertaining men/women then honoring & glorifying GOD? This is not to say that I see anything wrong with entertainment or with this type or gene of music. I just don't think that long extended "jam" type music has anything to do with worshipping our LORD.
@deborahlaruecook389411 ай бұрын
I was about 10 yrs old during this era and I can tell you this music sincerely was worship to Jesus. I felt like Jesus was so honored and there was so much joy. I was just a kid then
@AncientApparatus11 ай бұрын
@@deborahlaruecook3894 I'm sure personal edification can be derived from this music but again "Worship" is supposed to be about us Honoring the LORD & lift up His Name. I don't think 5 or 10 minutes worth of lead playing has anything to do with bring GOD closer to us.
@JimBischoff11849 ай бұрын
Play skillfully with a loud noise .

@AncientApparatus I do believe personal time with God as a musician is worship, and King David played skillfully and was unashamed to be abandoned in dance and melodies regardless of what others considered undignified -God thinks differently and looks at the heart
@AncientApparatus9 ай бұрын
@@deborahlaruecook3894I would have to respectfully disagree. I just don't see how long drawn out instrumentals have anything to do with worship or honoring GOD.
