@watercolorwithemilyАй бұрын
@@tranquilenvironments Of course! I love to show that you can still make a beautiful piece of art with a watercolor set that is affordable and less intimidating than most sets ☺️ I started my watercolor journey solely using this set. I think the hardest part of starting watercolor is not knowing which materials to get, and not wanting to pay a lot up front, so my goal is to take that roadblock away to encourage others to start!

@watercolorwithemilyАй бұрын

@dubclu6Ай бұрын
@@Lilmooni14 yep. The shadow shouldn’t be cast so far down as well. For that to happen the sun would have to be higher up in the sky and wouldn’t hit the side of the home facing us as much.
@watercolorwithemilyАй бұрын
@@dubclu6dang I wish I could attach a photo to the comments.. but I just took another look at it and the shadow actually went even further down than what I painted.

I’m going to participate in my first art walk in October. I’m a relatively new watercolor artist but I absolutely love it! I have a tent and am getting walls. I’ve got some ideas for a setup. My inventory is pretty good as far as originals go, but one of the directors told me that in her past experience smaller, under $40 pieces sell best. I do mostly botanical watercolors on 9x 12 that take me days to complete. All that to get to my question lol… where do you do your prints? I’m thinking that that might be the way to go, since this particular demographic buys the less expensive items. Thanks for your help! I love your style and I’ve tried it, but just can’t loosen up enough.
@watercolorwithemilyАй бұрын
@@jenhudnall1951 Hi Jen!!! Yay big congrats on your first art walk! YES I’d say prints are the way to go, especially if you spend days on your art. I have a scanner and take a scan of my art then send it in to a website called “GicleeToday” to order good quality fineart prints. I can definitely make a KZfaq video on this process if that would help! But always give your original art the price they deserve! 😊 it can be discouraging when you sell something for a low price that took you’d dayyyys to create.
