If SE did decide to do a Zack DLC, I would strongly recommend they use this version of Octavio singing Aerith's song meaning that Zack is trying to reunite with Aerith. Everytime I hear this version I think of it being used to show a trailer for a Zack DLC.

I remember Zali saying he didnt like his accent and wanted to lose it. On the contrary, it makes his expressions and singing interesting! His japanese is also so smooth and i love the little French you can hear.

I'm so glad you reacted to this cover, seriously, hibari's vocals are amazing in this song and the instrumentals are PEAK. recently, in ike's 3d debut, he sang with kagami shachou, who's sang mayday and tyrant (along with finana) with Ike before. they sang a song called "corpse attack" (timestamp in the video - 50:55) by utsu-p and honestly, I can't stop replaying it. (note; Ike was originally gonna sing this with another liver from the jp branch, he talked about it in his afterparty, but due to an injury, he couldn't participate. They have done a group cover of “GO!!!” during Anime Impulse before this though (“Super Duper” is still considered their first official cover)! There’s a video on KZfaq if you’re interested in reacting to it or checking it out in private, there is a lot of crowd noise if you’d like to take that into consideration though. Also I know someone else in this comment section already recommended it, but I also really recommend Zali’s “Psycho” cover which came out recently, it’s beautiful and I think you might enjoy it :) Thank you again.

So Alhaitham, the character depicting the response to the original version of Will Stetson's 'Writing on the Wall' essentially is Kaveh's (og video's character focus) roommate. Kaveh, as shown in the original video, fell into debt because of his job as an architect. Kaveh's efforts to complete his biggest project, the Palace of Alcazarzaray, landed him in debt as he was forced to pay out of his own pocket to complete it. Alhaitham and Kaveh are often depicted to only be tolerant of each other, as they bicker a lot in the game. Prior to their careers, with Kaveh being an architect and Alhaitham taking a high position in their alma mater, the Akademiya, they were very good friends when they were in school, with Kaveh being Alhaitham's senior. This is why, after Kaveh fell into debt after building what he calls his magnum opus, Alhaitham offers his house for Kaveh to live in until he gets back up on his feet. I think there's been hints that things went sour between them sometime during their school days, but Alhaitham still helped Kaveh during his time of need. Anyways, depsite their seemingly mutual hatred of each other, they actually care about each other a lot. As shown by this video, Alhaitham sees the parts of Kaveh that Kaveh himself tries to hide, and still cares for him despite that. Many people view Alhaitham to be a prickly person that is impossible to talk to, but Kaveh still makes an effort to engage with Alhaitham and forge a relationship with him. I like to think that it's only with each other can they do this, show their true selves without fear or hesitance, since they know everything about each other.

It's a good thing that it isn't catchy. Catchiness is commercial consumerism suppressing real art. If a song is overly "catchy" it becomes repetitive dogshit. It would sell more on radio, but it would be dogshit. That's why I like the fact that the song isn't just verse, chorus, verse, chorus, chorus. Because that would be boring as hell.

This is probably my favourite HoloEN group debut song. Mostly because it leans more into my favourite music genre instead of the typical idol type stuff. However I can´t listen to the song with the intent of listening to it. There are to many little things that annoy me with it. But to just have it blasting while doing something else for example riding my bike is great.

I wish you analyzed the lyrics from both videos and made a side by side comparison, but the sound analysis was on point ^^

Haven’t seen anyone talk about Aza so thought I would! Aza is from virtuareal so he streams on bilibili. If I’m not mistaken he sang the op for Spare me, Great lord and has done lots of covers and original songs, some which he writes himself. He recently started a KZfaq channel with a few covers I think. There isn’t much content of him on KZfaq so it’s always nice when he’s in something. (this is mainly through using a translator, sorry if it doesn’t make sense(╥﹏╥)
