This is normal, the microphone is not made to record in 360°, however it will capture the atmosphere and produce a 360° "effect", if I rotate the hair dryer really around the microphone, the sound will be horrible. That's why I call these videos "sound effects" rather than "record in 360°"

So before making videos, I was already collecting hair dryers, obviously for the noises, and also for the devices themselves... I looked for them in flea markets, or if I knew people who were getting rid of them. .. I have recovered about 90 in total in 20 years... but many no longer work or almost no longer work so I keep them but not for filming. I hope the answer satisfies you 😉

However, I regularly add new hair dryers to the collection, the problem when you buy one is that you cannot know if the noise will be good, if there will be an unpleasant hiss or an unbearable high-pitched sound, unfortunately this often happens to me. For devices other than hair dryers, of course vacuum cleaners are also interesting, but I don't want to mix up my channels, I have a channel dedicated to vacuum cleaners that I have just created and also one for fan heating.
